I saw Russel in Manchester in June and I just hurt afterwards because i just couldn't stop laughing, I saw last years DVD and expected quite a few past mock the week jokes but there was one old joke and the rest was completely new material i have not seen anything funnier since. If you're into your comedy's then buy this you'll love it.

As an individual who saw this show as it toured the country, I must say that it is a masterpiece of comedic writing; a relentless, hilarious and incredibly energetic performance redolent with Howard's eccentric and absurd humour, tinged with reflections on the hilarity and irony of the general public at large. Howard's humour takes many different forms in this show, which separates him from your average comedian, as his show fluctuates between a recognition of the comedy available in everyday life, rather than taking the form of a smug arrogance poor stand-ups often exude. For such a young comedian, Howard is experienced and skilled with the audience, and his very physical comedy is a hit with audience members both young and old. The best of the new stable of energetic British comedians, this performance is one of the funniest I have ever seen, and is therefore certainly worth purchasing. Likable, endlessly indefatiguable, and side-splittingly funny, Howard must take his crown at the apex of the British comedic circuit.

I like this guy on Mock the Week but his DVD is appalling. I bought it as a gift and was embarrassed by the amateur material. I dont mind swaring but the F word alone simply is not funny. Similarly, the sex gags were unimaginative toilet humour. A big credibility drain for this guy in my view.

He is great live, almost like having a friendly chin wag in the pub. If the dvd is anything to go by and the show i saw in Bournemouth, then i would definately say get it. If you've seen the 2008 dvd you'll know what to expect and more. This show focusses around his childhood and his friends' antics which remain shocking, funny and strangely bizzar. BUY IT!

If you've seen his first DVD as well as watch mock the week, then dont bother buying this one. It's mostly all the same material...

Recorded live at Brighton Dome in 2008, this excellent DVD is an essential purchase for fans of Russell Howard, one of the funniest and most likeable young stand-ups on the scene today. Russell has the common touch with people, making his comedy popular with both young and older audiences.

On stage, he has all of the confidence and sharp wit that would envy your more experienced and older comic. Russell has a way with words and is a great storyteller, and his quirky, upbeat and often down-right bizarre brand of comedy hits the right notes with me every time. In the show he talks about the big issues surrounding the world today, wolf masks, and time travel. This is one comedy show that never fails to make me laugh.

The special features on the DVD are also excellent, including a question and answers interview with the funny man, and two televised performances at the Apollo, one in 2007 and one in 2008. If you're a Russell fan - buy it!

This is the first of Russell Howard's DVDs that I have seen and it won't be my last. I really like Russell's upbeat and positively hilarious comedic style. His childhood regressions into the wonders of life are easy to associate with and thus all the more funnier. If you like your comedy then this is well worth a watch!

I absolutely love Russell Howard and he's come out with another great stand up dvd. If you love Russell Howard I would recommend this if you don't have it. If you're unsure, catch one of his stand ups on bbc3 as they're aired on there every so often or borrow a copy
