Bought this one to replace an older Krups machine, which had died. I am very happy with this Russell Hobbs machine. It looks nice in the kitchen and is easy to operate and most importantly produces a nice flavour.
It has a larger capacity glass jug than most filter machines and can do 12 large / 18 normal cups versus typically 8/12.
I have used the '1-4' button quite a lot, which slows down the brewing process and is good for smaller quantities. I typically brew 3-4 cubs and this works very well to get the aroma out of the coffee without the machine being too slow either. The machine stays on and keeps the coffee warm for about 40mins and then shuts off automatically.
I have also just discovered that it reminds you to descale the machine after a 'cl' marker showed up on the display the other day. Manual confirmed that the machine will remind you after 60 cycles. Nice feature.
Only small criticism I have is that there is no quantity markers on the jug or machine below 8 cups. The filling indicator on the machine and the glass jug shows 8/12, 10/15, 12/18 cup markers (large/normal cup size) only. Nothing below. This is a bit daft as you then need to guesstimate anything below if you want to do 4 or 6 cups.... All that is needed is a couple of additional markers.
