Looking forward to book 3, a series we intend to follow

After sending in a review of book 1 of this series both my daughter and I were keen to continue reading. Unbelievably lucky enough to be offered book 2 via netgalley this was a quick read over 3 bedtime reading slots as didn't want to stop reading. My daughter has really taken to Ruby Wishfingers and her extraordinary adventures. Though we didn't need it having already read book 1 it was interesting that this book started with a brief rundown of book 1 at the start of the story so anyone who hasn't read book 1 could easily pick up from here (though obviously we enjoyed book 1 and would recommend reading it in full first) this story picks up a while after book 1 ended and is based around Ruby's younger brothers 1st birthday party and a visit from cousin Todd who is known for being naughty, my daughter again enjoyed the magic mischief of this book and it was nice to see some consequences played out too. Jupiter the family cat is back and causing mayhem as he gets caught up in some magical spell swapping of his own and Ruby's brother affectionately nicknamed Jellybean ends the story in a special way that will have readers fingers itching to get hold of book 3 as soon as its out, we certainly can't wait.

This is a fab little book, and I can easily see it being a firm favourite. Ruby is a great character and I can definitely see this book being read over and over. The story had a couple of twists and it runs along at a really nice pace. Highly recommended - 4 stars.
