Comprehensive, and covers the oft forgotten sideshows like Norway, and the routine usually deemed too boring such as minelaying in the North Sea.
The main problem is the amount of typos. You become used to odd errors on the Kindle formats, but this one is easily the worst I've ever experienced. It is obvious that this book was copied by a typist (for want of a better expression) with no proof reading. Repetition, missing words, missing sentences... we have them all.
If you hate this sort of thing, probably best avoided as they become more prolific as each chapter progresses.
If you can stand the typos, under a fiver for all three volumes is a veritable bargain.
The problem with this book is not the writing or historical content it is the high number of spelling and grammatical errors.
It is my belief that these problems are caused by careless conversion from the original print to the digital format. I find it hard to believe these errors existed in the original book.
Amazon you need to tighten your quality control, othis is not the first digital book I have had problems with.
