Roy Eales, British journalist and writer, was born in London and lives there and in Brittany. He began writing poetry at the university where he studied literature and journalism. Since 1966, he has worked as a journalist, including almost ten years on the staff of The Economist of London. Author of books of poetry and prose translated into many languages, the latest is A poem decides , (Blackbird-Pawel Editions, London, 2013) with drawings by Sascha Juritz. His poems are also the subject of a CD "Just in Case by Roy Eales and his friends", in five languages with original music created by artists in Britain and Brittany. In 2004,the French state awarded him Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres for his literary work.
