I don't normally read this sort of book... I'm not sure what the genre is, because I just do not do adult books unless they've got dragons in or something o.o
I enjoyed it and nearly missed my stop a time or two because I wanted to keep reading (I usually read to and from work on the train)
It's written in a series of time skips, important parts of the two main characters' lives leading up to first one and then another event... It's primarily about the friendship between the two of them and their relationship as a family, the events that bring them closer, and the ones that tear them apart.
Despite everything that happened(no spoilers...) I think both characters are likeable, and I understand Will's torn loyalties. I've seen a very similar split of loyalties in real life, and I really felt for Will and his situation.
If I have a complaint, it's that I wanted to carry on for a bit longer. I understand the reasoning behind it but I felt like there was maybe a scene or two missing. I can't imagine for the life of me what the scene should be exactly, though, so it's a minor niggle.
