Interesting read but would have liked a little more information on each model. However, good value.

3.0 out of 5 stars Waste of Money 6 Aug. 2013
By NA - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
Simply google Land Rover RAVE. It is the technical workshop manual for pretty much every thing you can ever do to a Land Rover. Its free and gives you precise instructions, torque specs, and covers pretty much every model Land Rover or Range Rover made up until 2004 or slightly later.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not a repair or upgrade manual but more a history of DIscos 21 April 2011
By Musiccitybill - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover Verified Purchase
I was looking for a more technical manual or upgrade guide from Haynes. The Enthusiast Guide offers a history of the Discoverys but little technical information of help to those looking to work on their Discos.

2.0 out of 5 stars It was a waste of money for me 21 Aug. 2014
By dctrlp - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Hardcover
It was a waste of money for me. The book focuses on the history of the vehicle *when they were brand new*. If you want to live in the fantasy world that a 10 year old Disco has the integrity of a 3 month old Disco, then this is for you. But if you're looking for an honest look at the good AND bad of Discos and how they have aged through the years, you won't find it here. It cuts off in 2004, when the LR3 was being planned.

The book idealizes the Disco as a "hero's return", in the sense that the truck is perfect. It's just not. Any Disco owner knows how faulty these beasts are, but we deal with their faults because the good outweighs the bad. We fans need to be respected and recognized for our devotion to these trucks, because on most days, the Rover owner is reminded that he'd be better off buying a Toyota or Mitsubishi or - Heaven forbid - a Jeep.
