4.0 out of 5 stars A sad story of murder and life on the streets. 15 Sept. 2016
By M. Arguelles - Published on Amazon.com

Well written. However, it felt as though Anita Jones, the victim, was an aside to the story. A lot of attention to detail in regards to Riggens and Cordova but I felt as though the victim was barely touched on.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great read! 11 Sept. 2016
By Anthony Flacco - Published on Amazon.com

This taut and well-told crime take does a fine job of getting into the heads of the principal players. JoJo Cordova is a perfect representation of a good person subjected to a dangerous drug addiction can go from being a working police officer to a working prostitute desperate for her next hit of crack. Jackson writes with clarity and precision, and never strays into schmaltzy emotion when describing the horrors of these "rough trade" lifestyles. He writes with compassion but by no means does he glorify or excuse the criminality here. He offers understanding. And in the world of true crime, what better goal can a book have?

5.0 out of 5 stars Chilling 7 Sept. 2016
By Marlene fabregas - Published on Amazon.com

Been a fan of Steve Jacksons books for quite sometime. He has hit a home run with Rough trade. The case was about prostitution and a murder trial. The book tells the story of the victim Anita Jones who was introduced to crack cocaine and fell into the clutches of prostitution, eventually leading to her death. Great read.

This book is written so that all the characters are easy to understand remember and keep straight which is sometimes hard to do. It make the book flow and the reader easier engaged. What a magnificent and so truly talented writer. I will from here on out seek this writer's work out. Great book !!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Another great read 7 Dec. 2016

Steve Jackson did an excellent job portraying the life of Robert Riggan Jr. In my eyes Riggan is a sick man. His treatment of women was bad but what he did to Anita Jones is absolutely sickening & disturbing. I am glad to know that justice was served
