I was given this book in exchange for my honest opinion and a review.

Each book i read by Lori King is simply divine her books are so spell binding, romantic and o so sexy.

They say cowboys don’t cry, but Roman “Romeo” Freemont certainly has had a barrel of tragedy in his past to spend his days all teary-eyed. Instead he has turned to women and the burning feel of liquor in a sort of effort to soothe away his hurt and anguish. but when he meets this sexy petite brunette with a very feisty temper, she comes crashing into his world with such a flare, he soon realizes what he’s truly been missing.

Francesca “Franki” Scott has walked through hell fire herself. Nowadays she just isn't a real people person some might say she is more of a hermit, and she is so not interested in a playboy ranch owner either. She has one thing on her mind and nothing is going to stop her from completing her mission even though it could mean life or death for someone very close to her if she lets anything distract her.
Closing this gap between these wounded souls could mean survival or could it bring yet another tragedy upon them.

Will their stubbornness to hide their pain from themselves be their very downfall, or will they come through this rough ride together?
Another great read from Lori King where i found the first book in this series sexy as sin i found this book soulful and sweet with an edge of suspense and thrill and a happily ever after of course.

Romeo was a great character he is so lost in his world of pain he just doesn't no how to stop it he is once again a lost boy.... I found him to be such a soulful guy he just needed something or someone to pull him out of his darkness of booze and loose women.

Roman “Romeo” Freemont soothes his aching heart with women and liquor until a petite brunette with a feisty temper comes crashing into this world in this gripping romance.

Francesca “Franki” Scott isn’t a people person and right now she’s on a mission that could mean life or death for someone close to her if she gets distracted and the readers can’t help but get caught up in this emotionally powerful romance as two wounded souls find their way toward each other. The chemistry between Franki and Romeo is just as powerful as all the emotional turmoil flowing from the pages as this relationship struggles to survive the emotional gauntlet that threatens to keep them apart. These strong captivating characters easily command attention while capturing reader’s hearts during this rough ride and the fast paced and smooth flowing plot draws readers in with lots of suspense, turmoil and romance.

The story starts off with a bit of excitement as Romeo and Franki crashes into his other’s lives providing Romeo with a bit of a wakeup call and Franki with a strong shoulder that she didn’t realize she needed and has lots of suspense building from there as the ever growing Crawley Creek family steps up and helps Franki with finding her sister before it’s too late. The well written scenes provides lots of details which brings the story to life and makes it easy for the reader to become engrossed in the poignant story and the two wounded souls that deserves a bit of TLC and a HEA.

Franki and Romeo’s story is a powerful and gripping one that shakes up Romeo’s world and brings out his need to protect and Franki while being a bit socially awkward has a spitfire personality that lights up his world which had me captivated from the beginning. The Crawley Creek Family reaches out grips readers by the hearts and refuse to let go and I for one cannot get enough of them, each story pulls me deeper into their life and has me wanting to make my stay their indefinite.

I wasn’t sure how much I was going to like Romeo, but like in most things, you should never judge things by their appearances. Romeo has been consumed by grief and guilt and has been trying to dull the pain in self destructive ways. The nice thing about this story is that his redemption doesn’t come easy, even Marilyn and his closest friend and brothers are not letting him get away without reproach. Lori doesn’t sugar coat issues at Crawley Creek, though they understand the way Romeo feels, they make their feelings known and call him out. But it is not until fiery Frankie lands in his path does he want to change.
An aspect of this series I have greatly enjoyed is that no one is perfect, all the brothers, for as alpha and sexy as they are, like in real life, they all have their faults and flaws making the story and the pace of things more believable.
This story also shows that you don’t always get the happy ending, not that Romeo and Frankie don’t get together but that their mission has a different outcome, something which will have ramifications is stories to come.
This story is in a collection which I won as part of a competition. I would highly recommend the whole Crawley Creek series and can’t wait to continue the series and see how the characters, and continuing plots grow.
