I also took along a guide book because I didn't feel that this map was enough to give me tips about the city. But the top 12 sights outlined in this map were really useful and I would definitely taking this along on your trip.
Constantly pulling them out of your bag or pocket, and folding them every which way.
'Rough Guides' are printed on waterproof, tear-proof and fold-proof paper, and are a fantastic tool for any sightseer, and I'm guessing they could withstand a hurricane, and live to tell the tale!
They have made the many holidays and trips i've been on, a fun and easy experience; roads clearly marked, suggestions for places to eat, places to shop, and even the top eight/ten/twelve things to see in your destination, whether you have 2 days, or 2 weeks.
Don't leave home without a 'Rough Guide' book or map!!!
Waterproof, windproof and all the other proofs you could think of. It's been unfolded, refolded and oddly folded, written on and adjusted - and we just lent it to a friend who did the same. It is still very usable and will, undoubtedly, become indispensible again.
With ideas for restaurants, sight seeing, and far more believable (and follow-able) than a written guide, this is the best friend that a tourist could have. Use and pass on (with suitable comments and annotations).
