Top customer reviews
I tend to work in pencil then use these pens for linework before scanning and finishing in photoshop/illustrator. The flow of ink is great and the precision the pens offer is first class. Because they are all made of individual components you feel like you have made an investment when you have bought a set and that is exactly right... I inherited my first set of pens from a friends GRANDFATHER who was using them in the 70's. A quick clean and they were back to their best in no time. If you do buy these and take care of them (use them regularly so that the ink does not dry out, clean them if you intend to leave them dormant for a bit) then they will last you decades. Nibs can be replaced and interchanged and are freely available on ebay and other places for cheaper than you might think.
If you are in anyway interested in technical drawing, graphic design or illustration then i cannot recommend these pens highly enough. Infact, if you are interested in any of the above topics, you NEED to have these pens in your armoury. It really is tht simple. Just take a good look around the web as prices can vary dramatically (although the price here of £28 is about as competetive as you will find for this particular set).
These pens and the Rotring brand is such consistent quality. I recommend them highly.
The only reason I keep trying is because I love the blackness of the ink, and none of the cheaper pens (of which I have hundreds) give the same line quality. Neither are they as thin, as I like using a a .25 size.
From a fed up landscape and interior design student.
