The Rotary men's watch, model GS30017/04 is a contemporary sport?s style watch designed with everyday wear in mind. This robust watch has a round stainless steel case, a fixed black bezel and a screw down crown, complemented by a black dial. The bezel has numerical markers at five minute intervals inset in brilliant white. The black dial has minute markers in white, and these are emphasised at 5 minute intervals with larger luminescent markers. The hour and minute hands are silver luminescent swords, whilst the second hand is silver with a red tip. The date is displayed at the 22 minutes marker and offers contrasting black numerals on a white background. A durable hardened mineral crystal protects the dial. The sporty look of this watch is completed by a siliconised black rubber strap with striking red stitching with a steel buckle engraved with the Rotary logo, ensuring the watch fits comfortably and securely to the wrist. This Rotary watch is marked 'Waterproof' on the case back, meaning that you and your watch can swim and dive all day. Waterproof watches are suitable for: Swimming, shallow diving, yachting, all water sports (excluding deep sea scuba diving) and showering. This watch also comes with a lifetime movement guarantee, that is reinforced by regular servicing by an official Rotary Service Centre every three years.

Unfortunately, Rotary are not a decent make anymore judging by this watch. First, the bezel doesn't move. Why bother? The hands and markers should be luminous. Now my pet hate...When the second hand goes around it should land on the marker surely? The worst thing about the watch by far is the crown. when one sets the time and presses in the crown the minute hand moves a little (i intend to go to a shop and see if this is generic or just my watch) it just feels cheap and not up to snuff.
Plus side, the build quality is ok and the strap is very good (although not for a big wrist)and it keeps time very well.
I guess the fact that rotary are now trying to copy tag/omega/rolex is an indication of where the company is going.
My advice, buy a Seiko for this money. You will not be as disappointed as you will with a Rotary.
