I have read quite a few books about what allegedly happened near Roswell in 1947 but, short of time travel or an open American government (neither very likely) it is difficult to really know what happened. In my view there are only two solid facts about the incident. Something crashed and the American military has lied and dissembled about it ever since. Having read their final report I am even more sceptical of anything the American military says than I was before.

Farrell explores the incident looking at what hearsay and fact is available. The clincher would be Jesse Marcel's testimony except I think he was misled by someone higher up the ladder. He knew that what was found was not American and was led to believe it was alien technology. The reason I do not believe it was an alien craft was the small size of it and that anything built to survive the incredibly hostile environment between the stars would be immune to a lightning strike on Earth.

I believe it is highly plausible that the downed craft was not extra-terrestrial but a product of advanced human technology. Whose? In my opinion, possibly post-war Nazis. Using various sources, including Henry Stevens, Farrell builds a case for Nazi origin. What would terrify the Americans most just after the war? Finding out that not only were Nazis alive and well but they had craft that could out perform anything either side in the Cold War could put into the air. Why were the Nazis interested in this bit of desert? The only operational atomic bomber squadron were based nearby, the Americans were testing atomic bombs and at the White Sands proving ground they were developing various missiles from the captured "V" weapon designs. Of course the Nazis were interested in what had become of their stolen technology.

I have watched a few documentaries about some flying saucers which were man-made but now the particular book has exposed the story behind Roswell for me. There was no extraterrestrial saucer or being. All were man made. I find it shcking that deformed japanese were the people used in the space craft. This is inhuman. But above all , from reading this book, i do not believe that flying sauders are from outer space and this is my opinion.

In the shadows and crevices of the Roswell case with so many conflicting testimonies Joseph shines the light on the dead ends, murky motivations, conflicts and untruths to a very convincing and well researched, albeit unsettling conclusion. For all the painstaking research and dissections that the book goes through, it is still a real page turner and anyone really serious about wanting to know the truth behind Roswell cannot dismiss this book. Masterpiece.

Had high hopes of the book. Seems to have been paid by the page. Went over the same ground again and again. It was near the end it livened up then finished. Found out one or two things about nazi inventions but as I say the book ended.

The description of Joseph P. Farrell in the product review is incorrect. He is not a physicist; According to his Wiki entry;

"Joseph. P. Farrell is Adjunct Professor of Patristic Theology and Apologetics at California Graduate School of Theology,[1] an unaccredited Christian institution of higher learning in La Habra, CA."

His books make marvelous reading, but he is not as far as I'm aware qualified in any of the Life Sciences. He does however have the knack of getting to information that many mainstream scientists would refute or reject. Whether or not you accept his info as valid is another matter altogether.

As I haven't actually read the book, the rating is more for him as an author and researcher.
