As with all Saxon Andrew stuff I have read, this is, on occasion, sickly sweet and smaltzy to say the least. The assumption that everyone, including homicidal species, who view the eradication of both planets and whole civilisations the norm are all regarded as reasonable and can turn into saints in days, suspends belief. There is also the fact that millions of lives are lost as tens of thousands space ships are destroyed is never commented on, other than in passing and the naive concept that "love conquers all" is again, an absolute, probably leads you, dear reader, to the belief, I hated this book.

This is not so. It is and the others in the series, a very readable and enjoyable read. If you are looking for something cerebral and deep, don't go here. If however, you are looking for a fast-paced, simple, no-brainer, holiday type read, that entertains and does not require any brainpower, then this series is for you. Oh, you have to like Si Fi too.

On content and story level, the ending is rushed and thus is disappointing, but hey, this isn't Einstein or rocket science. Excuse the pun. Enjoyable, bubblegum reading. I have already downloaded the next in the series for my holiday next week.

Another good read, though predictable! To much jargon fillers. Though this will not stop me reading further books by this author.
