Though every track on this film soundtrack is produced by Timbaland, it's Aaliyah that dominates its soundscape. With four tracks she's well ahead in the quantity stakes, but it's the quality that shines through: chart hit "Try Again" is the obvious attraction, but "Come Back In One Piece", "Are You Feelin' Me" and "I Don't Wanna" also ooze sensuality and melody. Not bad considering that she also features in the film, alongside Jet Li in a take on Shakespeare's famous tragedy. Her work here with Timbaland marks a complete break from her once co-dependence on R Kelly. Ginuwine's "Simply Irresistible", Dave Bing's "Somebody Gonna Die Tonight" and Timbaland's own somewhat frenetic and skittery "We At It Again" come close to Aaliyah's brilliance but Mack 10, Joe, Chante Moore and the usually indomitable Destiny's Child are left trailing in her wake. Only Confidential's "It Really Doesn't Matter" avoids the competition, serving up a rap-rock fusion that hits a sweet pop spot. The film has a lot to live up to. --Jake Barnes

wow! was there anything this girl couldn't do? if you loved the film then you'll love this even more! the songs are first class espec the Aaliyah ones and if you have her other albulms then you gotta get this! it surely should have been nominated for soundtrack of the year or something and i just can't believe that she's not here anymore.

Romeo Must Die the film is made even better by its fantastic soundtrack, the reason I bought this CD. A good mix of soulful RnB and rap filled Hip Hop, its a good blend that lends well to the sound of the film. Some great tracks are on here like Aaliyah's "are you feelin' me" and Confidential's "It really don't matter". If you loved the film, you'll love this CD.

this is a briliant album with plenty of good songs. the best are by Aaliyah, the star of the film. I would thouroughly recommend this album to any music fan especially those who like R&B. Overall a brilliant soundtrack which complements the film superbly. Buy this cd now.

I was thoroughly disappointed with this soundtrack. The music in the film was superb but it doesn't seem to be the same as the soundtrack. The opening song in my opinion was the best (the one when the car is going across the bridge), but it isn't on the soundtrack. DMX had 5 songs in the film but the only one on the soundtrack is a substandard duet with Aaliyah. Why??? Don't buy this without listening to it first. Best Tracks - It really don't matter-Confidential or Aaliyah-I don't wanna

if ur a fan of hip hop, particularly DMX and Aaliyah, then this is the album for you. the rough and ready beats are fantastic, and the lyrics are sharp. the best track is r u feelin me by the dearly departed aaliyah, and there isnt really a worst, although the more hardcore rap songs can be a bit too much for some people. if you've seen the film and found u couldnt get the songs out of your head for days, then this is a must in your cd rack. and if ur a fan of hip hop, again, this is essential.

Smooth tracks that will have you singing and dancing uncontrolablly. This is a CD to play in the car - LOUD! There isn't a bad track on this album - they aren't all great but I cannot complain. The best tune has to be 'Pump the Breaks' by the main man Dave Hollister - this guy just gets better...

This album is brilliant! All the tracks by Aaliyah are great, along with Destinys Child, Playa, and Timbaland and Magoo. This is an album that you will be playing for weeks. Just hope the film is as good.
