For many years I have either found snippets of information regarding how a certain building would have appeared, or have had to use my minds eye to gauge how Rome in its pomp would have looked like. Yet this book not only shows you how the building is now, but via a very clever, drawn plastic cover for each picture, shows you how it would have looked in its day.
This format should be replicated for al of the worlds ancient cities and structures, as it is not only easy for children to see, but even a seasoned enthusiast can enjoy too.
We've received a small used & battered book which is listed as costing "from £3.05".
Needless to say we'll be returning it on Monday and expecting a full refund.

If you are going to Europe or if you have been and want to revisit these sites, or if you are just interested in these sites, this is a very helpful book. I can recommend all of the Past and Present Vision books. Some come with DVD or CD and some do not. This particular one does not but those that include these items are merely pluses since the books themselves are terrific.
