This book, well informed, very clear and useful is, in my opinion, the best introduction to the history and archaeology of the roman Britannia.

Format: Paperback
This is a very scholarly and fascinating series of studies of different aspects of life in England during the Roman occupation.
What it lacks is a narrative - an overall account of the development of life that could have been achieved by bringing the aspects together
