Product description

Product Description

Although the Rolling Stones have clocked up 50 years since emerging as a musical collective in late 1962, messrs Jagger and Richards have had to tolerate each other a fair bit longer than that, as these two mainstays of the oft-tagged Greatest Rock & Roll Band in the World can trace their friendship back to the early 1950s when the pair were classmates at a primary in Dartford. But despite having had one hell of a rocky ride in the interim as far as their personal relationship is concerned, no one can deny that these two maverick composers have created one of the most extraordinary songbooks in modern history. This two disc set takes a unique and previously uncharted look at the relationship and body of work produced by Mick & Keith during this near lifetime of close association, and in so doing reveals the mechanics and science behind the most curious partnership of the rock age.

I was looking forward to see 2 new DVDs upon title seemed to be interesting Mick vs Keith - When i unpacked the box DVD about Keith is UNDER REVIEW which was sold as single DVD since 2007 and the one about Jagger is The Roaring 20s Glory Years back from 2011 also sold as a single DVD - both single DVDs are good so far but the package leads to think, that it is something very new - NOTHING NEW, NOT AS ADVERTISED from 2013 !!! Quite a Rip Off, quickly returned the set as i owned both DVDs already - OLD STUFF NEW PACKED - THANKS A LOT !!!

A really interesting angle from which to document the Stones this 2 DVD set gesso the stories of Mick N Keef as parallels stories and cleverly brings the story together as and when relevant. Perhaps this description doesn't quite do justice to the results but I was very impressed by the approach used here to tell a familiar - or 2 familiar - stories in a new way

1.0 out of 5 stars Mick Vs.Keith 26 Feb. 2013

DO NOT purchase this item. It's a ripe off and this is why. KEITHY RICHARDS UNDER REVIEW is the same video as Keith Richards the Human Riff. The second DVD is The Roaring 20's. I don't know if Amazon knows what is going or not, but they need to be if it's being sold on Azom.com !!!!

Under whaT Makes a good review, what I would like to have wanted to know; it would have been these 2 disk were repackaged under a new title and sold as if was new.
5.0 out of 5 stars A good time to review the careers of Mick N' Keith 19 Aug. 2015
By Terry Thompson - Published on Amazon.com
Format: DVD
It's a good time to review the careers of Mick N' Keith, as they both have new projects on the way - Keith with his next solo album dropping any day now ( well, in about a month's time anyway), only his third ever solo effort - , and Mick with his new film coming about Muddy Water - and this box set of DVDs does the job reasonably well

Its easy to see both the parallels and differences in the styles of each after viewing these separate programs and in completion the collection leaves one with a satisfied feeling of perhaps greater tolerance for some of Jagger's more irritating habits and more respect for Richards when viewing him in respect of their partnership and collective work.
5.0 out of 5 stars Nice Two - Fer 30 Nov. 2013
By Robbie Matador - Published on Amazon.com
Format: DVD
Contains 2 individual films one about Mick & one about Keef Both are enticing and entertaining and at about 3 hours overall which for this reviewer kept the attention and proved worthwhile throughout is asset worth investing in for Stones fans everywhere. No brand new interviews with either of the subjects unfortunately but plenty of archive footage both live and interview, and decent contributors throughout.
