A set of three books which I loved. Spreading over some time the story of a rock and roll group and their families. Loved the people and the time that the first book was set in. The next two follow their children with laughter, divorce, marriage, death and affairs throw into the mix. Got to the last page of the third book and felt sadness turning to happiness because there is another book to follow on which I downloaded straight away. Great story - give it a try

Really loved this box set, read them back to back and I'm glad I did. I found myself drawn into the Mellor & Cantello lives, hit the highs with them and despaired at the lows. Pam's writing style is unpretentious and straight to the point, these books were so easy to read, you can pick them up and put them down as you like and never forget where you were up to....not that you'll want to put them down, the saga is like a soap opera, only more exciting and totally believable!

What a wonderful collection! I totally loved these three books, which I read one after the other, making the whole read a superb epic journey spanning over forty years in the lives of the central characters, Eddie Mellor and Roy Cantello, and their group, The Raiders, following them and their families through almost every emotion any family can experience. Here were love, lies, deceit, tragedy, births, deaths and an occasional touch of comedy too. I found myself becoming totally wrapped up in the exploits of all the central characters, at times empathising with them, at other times exasperated with their failure to see what was happening under their noses, it was really that engrossing. To the reader who only gave this wonderful collection a paltry one star, saying it was 'unbelievable codswallop' I have to say that this is not meant to be a factual historical document or a true-life biography, but is intended to be apiece of fiction, and entertaining and escapist work intended to take the reader in to another world, that of the fiction writer who creates a world far removed from the humdrum and mundane, and hooray for that! I enjoyed this superb collection so much that on finishing the third book, I immediately returned to Amazon and purchased the next book in the series, Not Fade Away and can't wait to begin reading it.

A great set of books , following the lives and fortunes of Rock musicians and their lives and loves. Presents a colourful picture of typical music culture of the time.Having lived through those years and been part of the culture, I could identify with the characters . The author shows real insight and lets the reader 'live' the Rock n Roll Years.

This box set had me hooked from the first page. You get drawn in and feel as if you are there with the characters. I love the way Pam includes snippets of real history in the story, that seems to make the story more real. All in all this box set was a cracking read.
