Life and love can be cruel and unfortunately Amber had been on the receiving end of both heartaches and as the festive season unfurls, she is facing an emotionally charged time.
This is not the happiest time of the year for Amber, struggling to deal with the anniversary of her mother’s death on Christmas day and still stung by the public vilification of her all too disastrous liaison with Ashton.
Rock Solid bad boy Ashton might have been the love her and leave her guy that she slipped up with but she wasn’t the reason that he and Annie had issues but little did the public know what had gone on and no-one seemed to be in a hurry to clear Ambers name in the whole debarkle, especially not Ashton.
Brax is on the same slippery slope as Amber in many ways, he is ex-military, but despite the honourable discharge, the military has left him a fraction of the man he had considered himself to be, PTSD has shaped his life in a way that he never considered.
So when Amber’s brother Hunter hires him to be protect her from the crackpot’s that seem hell bent on making her suffer for what they perceive to be her part in Ashton and Annie’s issues, it is a meeting of two damaged souls and the outcome was never a done deal.
They were both hurting in a way, unjustly so but it was a tangible pain never the less, but could these broken souls be each other’s salvation?
I loved their story, both the pain and the hope that they were able to exhibit.
The fact that they saw life warts and all and I think that , that made what they had and felt work for them.
Life is tough but it is the tough times that make their brighten moments worth all the pain.
The author gave me a story that was fully of interesting characters and connections, I liked the fact that Brax brought Amber to life, he gave her a centre and presence that allowed her to be who she really was and that by opening her heart she was finally able to find peace, they both were.

Rockin around the xmas tree is the fourth novel in the red velvet series but can be read has a stand alone.K.E obsorn has wrote it with references to Ambers past so you quickly get to know amber has a character. This is a story about loss, love and finding happiness at Christmas.

I really enjoyed this book and read it in two afternoons its defiantly a curl up on the sofa with a cuppa tea read. I went through lots of different emotions reading about Amber and her loss of her mom at Christmas. I have to say the author as written this extremely well having lost my mom 18 months ago I can totally relate to Amber and her lost and it has been written with sensitivity and i could feel the hurt and grief Amber was going through.

Amber goes through a rollercoaster of events being a single mother in the rock world, then brax is hired has her body guard by his best mate. Brax is a returned solider whats not to like about him hes sexy and caring and just wants to make Amber happy. although I dont want to say to much without giving the story away. But my heart did go out to Brax and Amber has it was a rockery road for them. This book keeps for wondering if they will ever be a proper couple with all the sneaking about. And also the dark side that Brax goes through, not forgetting the hot and steamy love making scenes.

I am giving this 4 hooked stars and highly recommend it

Another great story from this author, I wasn't familiar with any of these characters I realise from the reviews that Amber is from another of K E Osborns series unfortunately I've only read The Trust Me? Trilogy, Just Friends? (The Shattered Hearts Series) and this Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree and I've loved it all.
I loved how this story was told, Amber and Ashton were sort of together but it didn't last and wasn't meant to be and with everything Amber had and was still going through it was really sad, you felt her pain and loss.
Before we know it we are finding out that Amber is now a single mother of 1yr old Charli, my emidiate reaction was it must be Ashton's but know that would have been way to obvious and it fact Mase was indeed the father and this is what I liked because it didn't go the obvious route.
All the characters were brilliant, Mase was sweet and I really felt for him, I was hoping he would find someone else to focus on instead of holding out for Amber in the hopes she would eventually love him back .
What can I say about Brax... From the moment he came on the scene the chemistry between him and Amber was very apparent, but there were demons and history on both parts.
Amber fought her feelings for Brax for a while believing that she'd probably get hurt again and so chaneling all her love into Charli her daughter but very slowly you witnessed the bond between Brax and Amber develope, it was inevitable because of the situation and their chemistry.

This is Ambers story we have met her in previous books when she was the spanner in the works between Annie and Aston, broken and devasted when Aston chooses Annie she has a one night stand with one of her band members which leaves her pregnant.Amber hates Christmas which is looming,it’s the anniversary of her mothers death so she never feels in the celebrating party mood. When her band Red Velvet go back on the road fans continue to make Ambers life a misery over the Aston Annie thing so Hunter, her brother, hires his friend and bodyguard to protect her.Brax is ex military, struggling with his life and the demons that haunt him he suffers from PTSD.Amber knows Brax from her childhood, she doesn’t want a bodyguard but cant help the attraction she feels toward him. They try to keep their distance from each other but these two hurt souls find they cannot deny the feelings and chemistry between them. Can they heal each other? Can Brax show Amber that Christmas can be a happy time full of love and not sadness?Or will outside forces threaten any happiness they might find?
I love KE Osborns books thy pull you in from the first pages and you immediately feel at home with this extended rocker family!!The love between Brax and Amber is strong and passionate and KE makes you feel every bit of it,emotional and moving it had me teary in places.I loved it and cant wait for what this talented author has up her sleeve next
