Here we Meet Layla & her sisters Lana & Lucy who's come into the lives of The Dangerous Wings Brothers, to be their house keeper, but she connects with them within minutes of meeting Emmy & they become firm friends.
Though the boys like her, especially after seeing how she is with Emmy & vice versa.
But oh Jessie, is something different, he connects to her as soon as their eyes meet.
Then we see Lana have this sincere connection with & is helping him keep off the bottle some what, even though he can't see her as other than a friend as she's only going to turn 18 & with him being over 10 yrs older.
So we see the beautiful story between the family expanding with these 3 females come into their lives.
we do hear the feelings of this continued series where there's some unexpected knowledge & emotions highs, very highs & lows
2nd book in the series and all characters are still very much a part of this although it focuses on Jessie and his love life.
Loved Nik and Emmies story from the previous book.
Now Emmie is pregnant and hires a house keeper this is how Layla comes into this family of rockers who all live together.
Their a unit all have a strong bond together and although now famous there was a time were they looked out for each other and this is a habit they don't intend to break and it shows with the love for each other.
A story of rock stars but no rock and roll in this just a sweet story of insta love.
Layla has the care of her two sisters and they all live together, when Layla gets the job as housekeeper they all move into the guest house. I liked Layla her character is loving, caring, worked hard to care for her sisters but no pushover.
Jessie 's attraction to Laya was instant.
It was a sweet story, you still get to still follow the lives of the guys and Emmie and it's a great series to follow.
Their attraction is instant, and it doesn't take long before they give into the pull that they have. Jesse goes in headlong, knowing Layla is the woman for him and being determined that she will be his. Layla on the other hand battles with her head and heart as she knows rockers can be bad news and cause nothing but heartbreak. I must say, I would have liked their flirting to have lasted a little longer before they declared their love for each other. I like the anticipation of things to come and this didn't have quite enough for me to find it truly believable. Don't get me wrong, I totally believe in insta love but I love when there's a delicious build up as it makes the result far more explosive!
Their relationship takes on its trial and tribulations, withstanding the tests that life throws at them and making them all the stronger for it. Jesse is every inch the perfect boyfriend and takes care of Layla's younger sisters too. Sexy, protective and romantic, what more could you wish for?!
Layla is a tough one for me, while I really like her and she's not offensive in the slightest, I found her to be far more meek than I felt she should be. On the occasion that she was sharp witted and fierce it showed a strong side to her that I really liked and would have liked to see more of. I understood her reluctance to get involved with a rocker and totally respected her as a surrogate mother too. She had been through a lot in her young age and coped well with what life threw at her. Her relationship that developed with Emmie was great. Every girl needs a 'girl' friend, and these 2 were perfect for each other. Taking their places in the Demons Wings lives and being their for each other.
A great Rock Star story if you want something without too much angst but a lot of love! I do think there was the potential for the story to be a little more involved and deeper in feeling. There were times that I felt parts were a little rushed which left me feeling a little disconnected from the characters but this didn't detract from the fact that it is a very good story with characters that do come to life.
I'm really looking forward to reading more about these guys in 'The rocker that needs me'. The author did a really great job in weaving Drake into this book so you definitely want to read more about him although I feel like its going to break my heart a little before its mended again!
