She was always beaten & abused by her mother. The boys always took care of Emmie, as far as they were concerned she was theirs to look after.
The boys are in a band called Demon's Wings . When they become famous they still look after Emmie the best they can.
When she is 15 her mother dies, the boys come home & take Emmie with them.
Now 21 Emmie has been on your with the boys for 6 years. She does everything for them, including getting rid of the women in the morning.
She loves her boys, but she is in love with Nik. Unknown to her Nik loves her too.
When she becomes ill the boys are worried. Then the secret of her love comes out, along with another surprise.
Loved this book
Em grew up on a trailer park with a useless, drug addicted mother who couldn't take care of her and physically abused her, Em would run to her friends when she needed to escape, 4 boys, Nik, Shane, Jesse and Drake who were in the throes of becoming a very good rock band and later achieved fame.
On Em's Mother's death of an OD, the boys manage to get custody of Em (yea right)!, and she then tours with them like a little sister, looking after them and getting rid of their 'lady friends - ahem', in the mornings. Em feels very strongly for one of these boys but tries to suppress her feelings to avoid complications. Now I'm not a prude and I like my leading ladies to have fun, get drunk, make mistakes but belching in front of all these gorgeous guys - NO!!!
Oh, and the 'illness' isn't an illness so don't worry it's nothing terminal or harrowing!!
This does have the potential to become really good, but the story was so short that I didn't get to know the characters at all really apart from Em, the romantic angle tied up soo quickly that there was no sexual tension or growing love between the two of them. I have read better books that were free or under a pound. Try 'Documentary - A J Sand' - the characters are so much more in depth and the plot is more detailed and its over 300 pages long for half the price.
Her life is most of the time saved by Nick & the Boys Jessie, Jake & Shane from Nick's trailer, until that is when they go off on tour after they become a big famous group Demon Wings.
And She felt All alone then when they come back they take her in at 15, so yes they're a few years older than her & JUST the kind of Not just support but friends,
Then that friendship love becomes SO MUCH deeper & Becomes Lover's Love between Emm & Nick even though they tried to fight it & then Emm decides she can't take watching the girls throw themselves at Nick.....
A friends to lovers story.
The guys from her trailor park were Em's protectors, carers and best friends since Em was a little girl having been subject to an abusive mother they looked after her, fed her, dressed her wounds, she was adopted in love by the guys who all became her protectors and guardians.
The guys were all in a band and treated Em as family, when they become famous she went were they went.
It's a sweet story, not much angst or drama kind of to short for that felt more could of been done with the plot, a bit cheesy with a bit of hotness thrown in, the characters are great love protective males it has potential to be a good series.
This is the story on Ember Jameson, who after a horrible childhood ended up being cared for by the Demon Wings rock band (who she knew from growing up). I really enjoyed this short read and read it in one sitting. It is obvious how much Ember is cared for by the group and how the story turns out. I will definitely be reading more of this series and purchasing some paperbacks for the signing!
.. Only this didn't.
I found the length of the book did not lend itself to depth. I found Ember to be cardboard as a character, and for the bandmates - There's Nik and Jesse, but I couldn't even tell you the other names. They were completely interchangeable and forgettable. (And I've just finished the book!) the plot felt like it was written for much, much younger children, even if the content didn't.
This book had great potential, but it needed quite a LOT more character development to be a believeable story, rather then just another mediocre story.

Besides- the book is a great read anyway, without getting overly philosophical: :)
Tension sexuelle: 2,5/5
Les dialogues: 4/5
