I've had this for a month or two, and while I've only started to learn to play, I've had an experienced friend mess about with it. Aside from a little buzzing, probably caused by the frets, which may go away with some wear (this could probably be remedied by adjusting the tune-o-matic bridge as well), the guitar is great. It's not as easy to play as the acoustic guitar we have in the house, but it's not bad either. (ie. the action isn't horrible). I can't really comment on the tone as a newbie, but I heard no complaints when it was paired with a spider 4 15w.
There are 4 knobs on it which control the volume for each pickup, and the tone for each pickup - they are not labelled, but have numbers on them. However there is no little marking to show which number you have selected, but it's reasonably easy to guess where the mark should be when you set it to 0. Standing it up straight, as in the picture on amazon, the top 2 are volume, the bottom 2 are tone. I believe the lateral directions also correspond to the 3 way pickup selector. As far as I can tell it's just the standard 4 knob setup for a les paul.
Having changed the stock strings to Ernie Ball super slinky, and keeping the guitar in a gig back, it keeps its tune very well. I check it every time, but I rarely have to change anything.Read more ›

Looks really good - better than in the picture.
