Rock My World picks up exactly after the first book Rock My Bed and Aubrey is taking Zach aka Riff home to meet her parents and also explain why she is now out of a job. The only problem is Aubrey knows her family will automatically disapprove of Riff. A tattooed Rock Star is not the man her father 'The Judge' wants her to settle down with.
Needless to say it's not a good sign when said father mistakes your new boyfriend for the cab driver and tries to tip him and dismiss him from the house. This scene set the tone of things to come. So Riff and Aubrey had a fight on their hands as Aubrey's father pulled every dirty trick in the book to tear the couple apart.
I was really pleased Aubrey was strong and stood up to her family. I felt for Zach as he was so used to everyone assuming the worst in him and making him believe he wasn't worthy of Aubrey's unconditional love. I really do love them as a couple and their strength shone in this book.
They had some rocky patches and then my heart was in my mouth towards the end but the scene with Aubrey, Riff and his guitar?? Ugh that killed me, but in a good way ;)
I was worried at one point in the story and I will admit I doubted Riff, I thought he was going to disappoint me and make the wrong decision. This is usually how books go, characters sabotage their own happiness, but I'm glad to say Aubrey never once doubted Zach and she could see through his façade and knew there was a higher power at work here.
I really do enjoy Michelle's writing, it's exactly the kind of book you can get lost in for a few hours, I was having a lull between books and this was just the pick me up I needed.Read more ›
I love the black falcon series and these novellas in between full novels are wonderful, as you get more of a peek into the couple, i liked the extra chapter from Noel at the end too, and i am very much looking forward to Trip's book next!

You get a good sense of the love that they have for each other and that they would do and go through anything to stay together.
Gabe seems to be a wonderful brother and a little bit of a rogue, where's I wanted to slap Aubrey`s father for interfering in such an underhanded way.
The accident really shows him however how much love is between them and the surprise news is wonderful. It was certainly the right time for things to go right in Zach`s life.

Riff and Aubrey’s story starts in Rock My Bed, and I like so many others, fell head over heals for Riff. He was so rough around the edges with a great heart hiding inside.Published on 23 Jan. 2014 by Brenda Williams
