Charlotte is shy, quiet and she hides behind baggy clothes in the hope to stay "invisible ". The only person she trusts and is really comfortable with is her best friend Molly, who is the main character in Rock Addiction, where Charlotte is introduced as a secondary character. The brief encounters with Charlotte was enough to pique my interest to find out more about her true story.

Her story begins with the firm where she is an employee is in serious trouble and in need of recovery. This is where Gabriel Bishop steps in as the CEO. He is an ex Rugby star and is now a very successful business man. His first encounter with Charlotte is very interesting. When she is summoned in his office, she is convinced that she will be getting her marching orders since Mr Bishop is ruthless in getting rid of the dead wood. It turns out that he sees through her lack of confidence and shyness and realises that she is very intelligent and smart. He offers her the position of becoming his personal assistant and once he makes up his mind, he is not to be deterred.

Gabriel is fascinated with Charlotte and as they get used to working with each other so closely, he doesn't take much for him to realise that Charlotte struggles with her issues. Despite being a ruthless business man, he is quite understanding and gentle where Charlotte is concerned. Charlotte has nicknamed him TRex and she is the mouse, quite appropriately. It is fun watching their verbal sparring which brings humour to this fascinating story. Charlotte has been through some terrible trauma with her ex boyfriend, leaving her with scars leading to her lack of confidence. Gabriel too has some issues with his past which has turned him into a workaholic.

This is the first book I've read by this author and I have to admit it surprised it, I noticed it while I was flicking around and the synopsis sounded interesting although once I'd started reading I wondered if Charlotte might be a little too mouse for it to actually work but thanks to the length, nearly 400 pages and the beautiful way it was written this wasn't the case.
Charlotte is emotionally scarred, shy and although she's intelligent and incredibly hard working her lack of confidence holds her back and allows people to take advantage.
Gabriel Bishop is a man that takes no prisoners, he's ruthless and he's the new CEO of Saxon & Archer and he's been tasked with the job of saving the company. The first meeting between Charlotte and Gabriel doesn't go well and come Monday morning Gabriel is busy hacking his way through the senior management, one of Gabriel's many, many skills is being able to see a persons worth and if they come up to scratch he has no guilt at all about firing them, and fire them he does as he sorts the competent from the incompetent.
Charlotte is terrified of Gabriel at the start, she can hardly speak to him, not only is he huge and handsome but he growls and storms around, like a T. Rex. It's obviously Charlotte has suffered greatly in the past and she's still suffering today and what made this book so great was the way we witness her transformation, she gets stronger and braver before our eyes as her true personality emerges and this is made possible because of Gabriel, he can see the potential in Charlotte and so slowly and carefully brings her round and it's beautiful and yes I'm a little in love with Gabriel but then I think it would be hard to read this book and not be.
After finishing this book I checked out other books by this author and I just can't believe her books have eluded until now.

I was given this book via netgalley in exchange for my honest opinion and a review.

Who could not adore Nalini Singh books like come on she is the Goddess of romance. As you can probably tell im a huge fan iv read every book that Nalini Singh has written and i think i always will.

Wealthy businessman Gabriel Bishop rules the boardrooms with the same determination and ruthlessness that made him a rock star on the rugby field. He knows what he wants and he will go after it.

And know hes set his sites on something new he wants is Charlotte Baird.

Charlotte has always knows she’s a mouse. She is Emotionally scarred and o so painfully shy, all she wants to do is her job and remain as invisible as possible. But that's clearly not going to happen especially when she meets her boss he is the new CEO a bright and brilliant, broad-shouldered, sexy T-Rex of a man who seems to growl and storms through the office.... and leaving carnage in his wake. could his bark be worse than his bite ?? or does he have plans for them that may be more than just business but the bedroom as well.

Charlotte certainly intends to survive this battle of wits will and hearts, and this mouse will win even if she has to learn to wrangle the T-Rex.

Game on.

Love Love this book its so well written, The plot was great and i loved the sports theme after all being well Rugby is our favorite sport.

I Thought Charlotte was such a doll, that nickname T Rex had me giggling as it was so apt for Gabriel.

Gabriel ..... sighs what a man sexy as sin brainy and full of brawn wow " Fans Face "

( Favorite part in the book )
