Thea is Mollys sister, and coincidentally Schoolboy choirs publicist.
Davod has been madly in love with Thea for the longest time and Molly sees it and tells David to write Thea a memo. So David begins to write a series of memos to Thea about why they should be together and the letters go back and forth.
This was old fashioned romance at its best, the letters and replys were sweet, and funny, and the sex when it happened was a complete backdrop to the story and was more of a making love situation.
David, the drummer of the Schoolboys Choir Band has been attracted to Thea, the band's publisher from the first time he met her. He is looked upon as the gentleman of the band because of his personality and appearance.
Thea on the other end keeps her feelings and emotions to herself, for fear of being hurt due to past experience and turns him down when he makes his feelings known to her. She is otherwise strong and very good at her job. David is quite intent on getting her to trust him and when Molly, Thea's sister makes a suggestion to him on how he might be able to get through to her, he acts upon it.
I like the way, the relationship develops emotionally and sexually but just when they thought everything would work out for the best, something unexpected materialises. This development threatens what they have built and trust could be a major issue between them. Will they be able to overcome the adverse effects this has brought upon them?
I also found the background information on how the band met to be very interesting and their loyalty to each other is admirable. I find Noah to be very intriguing and hope to learn more about him in the future.
To me this novella is romantic, sexy and witty with an infusion of drama. I would fully recommend to those who like reading this genre.
This is a well written novella that's a nice addition to the series. I liked the characters even if the plot was fairly predictable.
Thea is the publicist for Schoolboy Choir and is despite her attraction to David Rivera, she is determined to maintain her professional footing around all of the band members. Having had her heart broken and been mentally abused by her ex, Thea is determined to protect herself from further hurt, especially from any promiscuous rock stars, even if they do have the face of an angel and the body of a God.
David Rivera, the Gentleman of Rock, has other ideas though. Prompted by Molly, Thea's sister, to communicate with her via emailed memos, David starts to state his case for winning over Thea's heart.
David isn't the typical rock star. Yes, he's had his fair share of women but unlike Noah and Abe, he's decided to commit his heart to one woman, Thea. The only problem is convincing Thea that he is the person she can trust and rely on for a long time to come.
As the story builds we finally get to see what has been said between David and Thea in their memos and let me tell you, David is not gentleman when expressing his sexual desires, as Thea soon finds out.
Thea is powerless to resist David's campaign for her heart and even though it takes time to win Thea over, David's relentless pursual of her is a success and the two finally get together in an explosive fashion.
Conclusion: This is a brilliant series so far and one which will amaze anyone who loves their romance books based around hot and sexy musicians.Read more ›
Told from two close third person POVs, we follow David as he endeavors to convince Thea that they would be perfect for one another but as the band’s PR consultant Thea is reluctant to become involved with her client. Following the devastating heartbreak of her previous relationship, Thea pulls no punches when she tells David that they would be better off as friends. Thea isn’t willing to risk their friendship for what could amount to a one-night stand.
The relationship between Thea and David is one of mutual attraction, one that began a couple of years earlier when Thea was involved with another man. David has bided his time hoping that Thea would give him a chance, but Thea’s heart has been broken and she refuses to allow anyone that close –ever again. Betrayal is ugly and trust must be earned.
The secondary characters include David’s family, the members of Schoolboy Choir as well as Molly, Thea’s sister and the heroine from the first storyline Rock Addiction. The world building continues to reveal a little bit of information about the band members and how they came to be.Read more ›
