Unfortunately, mine has recently died, however, I used that as an opportunity to get something else. A lifespan of three years for a heavily used mouse is pretty good so don't let this put you off, especially at this price range. The biggest issue I had with the mouse is how small it is, I don't have particularly large hands but this is way too thin width ways for me and found that it caused cramps in my hand.
This mouse would be a perfect present for a young teenager who's into PC gaming as it would fit someone young very comfortably and is a modest price. The software which you can download from Roccat's website is easy to use and allows you to adjust the one RGB point behind their logo to either 'off' or 'breathing' mode and at which speed you want it to breathe, you can also adjust the sensitivity through the software, however, it's not required as the middle mouse button (between the left and right click) allows you to adjust the sensitivity on the fly.
Overall, I'd look at the likes of LG if you're after a regular sized mouse but if you specifically want a smaller mouse, this is a good choice.
If you do, you won't be able to load any Steam games. I just wasted 45 minutes of my life learning this. Who knows what other problems this, clearly terrible, software might cause.
Steam didn't tell me it wasn't loading of course...it looked like it was loading...but it wasn't. That's fairly standard Steam behaviour of course, which is why I left it for so long.
Anyway...after trying 2 different games and waiting 20 odd minutes while each claimed to be "getting ready to load" the instant I uninstalled the Roccat software Steam started working...
Annoying.
Perfect size for my hand (slightly smaller than typical gaming mice), nice textures on the mouse, logo looks smart and not too gaudy (can be turned off too if you prefer), also pretty light weight which I prefer (lighter then the Lavawolf).
Due to the large size and shape of my previous mouse, I occasionally missed a shot in War Thunder to the position of my fingers on the old mouse. Buying the Roccat Lua has entirely eliminated this issue.
For under £20, fantastic mouse.
Only one problem: The scroll wheel when scrolling up. Scrolling up produces an overly loud clicking sound as if it's scratching something inside the mouse whereas scrolling down produces no extra noise. I reckon just a problem with my particular unit, but I'll deal with it as I don't want to have to go through the effort to return it when it mostly works perfectly. Other than that, great mouse! And a steal of a price. I don't care about super high DPI, a laser sensor and macro buttons, so this is all I need.
UPDATE: Having received a replacement, it would seem that scroll wheel issues are a consistent quality control problem with this mouse, so I'm reducing the score to a 4 as it is overall still a pretty decent mouse minus the scroll wheel. Just don't expect a 100% smooth, relatively quiet mouse wheel. You're likely not going to get that. My second Roccat Lua's scroll wheel works and doesn't skip a notch, but it's still relatively stiff and loud especially when scrolling up. Buyer beware.
Handspan: ~20cm
length: ~18cm
Circumference: ~19cm
This is probably the prefect mouse for anyone with similar hand dimensions to me; it is just the right shape and mass to be comfortable for extended gaming sessions. I'm currently on my second one of these (the first lasted through hundreds of hours of gaming - it owed me nothing).
According to some of my larger handed friends, it feels uncomfortable to them. Good, less risk that they will take or use my mouse.
I'm not a huge fan of the lighting effect, but it can be disabled.
The control panel is very good, and the range of settings suits me.
The different textures used on the top and sides contribute to the comfort and grip.
