Got these last week and have been messing around with them since then.
Comfort is important for any headset and I think it only fair to raise a few points on this, as its why I’m not rating the product 5 out of 5.
Around the ear they are fine, I wear glasses and have no trouble with this part of the headset.
The top part of the headset is where the problem arises. What looks like major padding from the pictures amazon display is actually hollow / narrow plastic rectangles with very little padding around each edge.
People that like to keep their hair long may not notice this quite as much as those of us that like to keep it short, but this does lead to a pinched feeling along the top of the head after extended wear (5 to 6 hrs. is pretty standard for myself)
You can do a self-fix for this by adding your own padding, I just got:

Which seems to fit the headset fairly well so far, I’ll see how they pan out.
Setup of the product is fairly simple, though I do suggest going into your Control Panel > Audio Manager > Speakers > Speaker Configuration > Select 5.1 speaker from the drop down selection and test it out to see if it’s working correctly.
The mike setup can be a tad annoying, just remember that most computers detect when you plug things into the ports on the soundcard and will ask you what the device is. After that you may want to look at the mike settings and dot the noise suppression option to stop your friends all hearing a static hiss when you’re talking to them.
** Please note that if the Blue LED for the mike is on, it means the mike is muted and you obviously can’t test or configure it correctly. **
Don’t forget to also set any media players settings you currently have setup to enable surround sound when listening via headphones.
One last thing, various people, myself included have reported a very low static hiss from the speakers when nothing else is playing.
Personally I can put up with it as it isn’t that loud and I don’t notice it when playing games/films, there are various work rounds from trying other usb ports to getting a new soundcard (external/internal), to turning off the Beep effect in windows (Control Panel > Device Manager > View > Show Hidden Devices > Non-Plug and Play Drivers > Beep > Driver > Startup Type > Disabled).
p.s. there are also various video's online with which to test if your surround sound is working correctly so feel free to google 5.1 surround sound test.
