Ever since his school years, Robert has been fascinated by the influence of aviation on world affairs, especially during WW2 in the far East. He has combined this life-long interest with local, on-site knowledge - gathered during his travels around the globe as an internationally active ICT consultant - to write "The Java Gold", a multi-part historical fiction story which will take the reader all over the world and through half a century of recent history.
In 2016, Robert joined forces with seven other talented authors to produce "Pearl Harbor and more..." an anthology revolving around the central theme of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941 and the start of the Pacific War. Robert's contribution – "A Rude Awakening" – is set in Imperial Singapore and Malaya and takes the reader through those fateful first days of this sudden and largely unexpected conflict. The anthology was published on November 1, 2016 and has had very favourable comments so far.
Robert currently lives and works in the magical city of Amsterdam
