Robert Fludd (1574-1637) was a true 'Renaissance Man', Qabalist and alchemist, scientist and philosopher, astrologer and musician. His voluminous, richly illustrated writings covered the entire range of practical, scientific, divinatory and speculative thought known at the time, all of which were combined into an integrated universe infused with divine spirit. This collection contains selections from all of Fludd's published works.
About the Author
William H. Huffman, Ph.D., is a native of St. Louis, Missouri, and presently resides in Charlotte, North Carolina. His lifelong interest in esoteric thought led him to doctoral studies in the history of philosophy, focusing on Platonism, and a concentration on the Renaissance Hermetic tradition. Under the inspiration of Frances Yates and others, he completed a study of Robert Fludd and the End of the Renaissance, published in 1988.

Having said that my thanks go to Nick Goodrick-Clarke for bringing this into print again, and indeed the series, though I see that Dee is missing again, and where's Agrippa or Albertus Magnus come to that? What can one say - not having yet read the book - of the original Renaissance man. A handsome volume. I look forwards to getting stuck in. I trust it will prove to be the perfect companion to Godwin's illustrated handbook.
