As the first dawn of 1986 approached Robert D. Spake was thrust into the world. After a thoroughly unremarkable childhood he ventured away from Southampton to study Philosophy at the University of Kent in Canterbury. There, he started exploring his creativity and wrote Angelic Hellfire.
Once he graduated he traveled to America where he lived in Orlando and worked at Disneyworld. Living and working in the most magical place on Earth was an amazing experience, and it was quite a shock when he unceremoniously returned to England. After four years slashing his way through the wilderness of the soul he decided to finally focus and release his works.
Currently he has four books available. Two novels - Angelic Hellfire & Fraudulent, a short story collection - I. Tomorrow? and Other Stories, and a collection of poetry - Step Into Your Soul. He also has a blog where, among other things, he is writing a serial story about a superhero called Felicio.
He has a wide range of interests and this is reflected in his work, where one of his aims is to write at least one thing in every genre. While the genres may be different, the themes can be similar. A lot of his characters struggle with finding their place in the world and the purpose to their lives. Another common theme is the tragedy of love and how treacherous and painful the road to true love can be.
