5.0 out of 5 stars Easy and delicious recipes - transformed our weeknight meals!
By R. Downes on 20 April 2017
This book has transformed our weekday dinners. Everything we've made has been absolutely delicious. Favourites so far include the baked gnocchi with mozzarella and the five-spice duck with wild rice, kale and ginger (my attempts at both pictured) and we loved the lamb flatbreads, sesame and ginger meatballs and salmon with giant couscous. I'd never thought of cooking couscous in the oven - or rice for that matter - but it works beautifully - everything has been delicious! All the recipes are simple and result in minimal washing up, and the book is really nicely laid out with different sections (meat, fish, veggie feasts, grains, fruits, cakes etc) with infographics at the beginning of each section giving cooking times so you can play around with the recipes. It also includes prep/cooking times for each recipe which are refreshingly accurate - and most of them are only 5-10 minutes. We used to be a bit lazy on weeknights and often resort to ready meals but these recipes are so much tastier, healthier and more satisfying - and barely any more hassle. Love it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Dinners so easy it's hard not to make them.
By Jetage on 6 November 2019
My wife bought me a copy of this for my birthday as a random choice. Turns out she hit on an awesome gift.

This book is heavy on usable recipes that demand to be made. The simple premise of everything in a pan and throw it in the oven is perfect for busy families. Some of the options take as little as 5 minutes prep followed by 30 minutes in the oven.

There's lots of options here, but our favourites in a household of veggies are; Baked gnocci (crispy and chewy) and many of the pulses recipes. Flavours on most of the recipes we've tried are punchy but not overpowering. Clean up is minimal too, with only one pan to go at.

Since getting this book, we've now got the "Green" tin and "Quick" tin books too. Some great variations but the same principles. Super recommended, and super lazy.
