Its not a short read, it is however a compelling and somewhat frightening account of how the regime was organised, managed, and ultimately how it it subsumed all sensibility and lead Western Europe into a long Dark night that stretched over 40 years beyond 1945.
It is wonderfully written and well researched. I have read it so often that the original book has disintegrated. This Kindle Edition is well put together.
I thoroughly recommend it.
