Book Description

From USA Today bestseller Tillie Cole, the concluding chapter of the SCARRED SOULS series.

From the Back Cover

They call me 901. I am a monster, a killer, a champion. In the blood pit I am a god. I have no name, no family, and no identity. When master says fight, I fight . . . until I am the only one left standing. I have one goal, to fight so well that I am freed. I don't need friends, I don't need women. They are weaknesses. I am strong.

Until I see her. She is gorgeous and kind and off-limits to me. She was stolen as a child to be the worst type of slave and now master wants her. What he wants, he gets. With a smile, she melts my brutal heart. I have never wanted anything more.

I need to make a choice. Freedom or Love. I cannot choose wrong.

The intensity of this series has been hard to come to terms with at times but what hasn’t been difficult to get to grips with is the quality and depth of the work. The research that must have gone into this, is quite simply staggering.

From the first page of Raze, the series has been building to this crescendo, each story pulling them all together and all towards their goal, the decimation of the gulags, the blood pit and Master Arzani.

Each of the men have found their mates, Luka has Kisa, Zaal has Talia and in the last book Ravage, Valentin found his soulmate in Zoya but he lost his sister, Inessa when she was shipped back to Master Arzani to be his High Mona (sex slave) and they all knew that getting her back was going to be a far from easy task but controlling the rage that fuel Valentin all the time that she was missing was almost as impossible. They knew he would never settle without her and because of that they had one option and that was to join forces to bring about not only an end to Master Arzani and his operation but to bring back Inessa.

So what about this book, well I am sure you can work out that this is Inessa story and I have to say what a story it is, this is one tough cookie!

I've read the previous books in this series and loved them. I was eagerly awaiting the conclusion. It didn't disappoint! Wow! What a ride! I'm a fan of Tillie Cole's words. She is a hugely talented writer that shows her talent over any genre she has tried.

This book takes place deep in the bowels of the blood pit. The heart of the Georgian Arziani crime syndicate. It's ugly and savage and everything you'd imagine and more, but underneath the despair and pain there is a little glimmer of hope.

The hero and heroine of this story, Ilya and Inessa are both as beautifully broken as all the main players in this series and have learned to survive their brutal existence in their own ways. When they are thrown together to further the goals of their sadistic master they didn't expect to find kindred spirits. They didn't expect anything but maybe sometimes something wonderful can be found in the worst and most unexpected of places?

The writing is beautiful and the emotions are real. I was sucked inexorably into this story and struggled to let go when I had finished. The story world is realistic and believable, highly detailed and multi-faceted. As are the characters. They are flawed but strong. Underneath it all though this book was emotional and hugely romantic. I felt everything they felt, raged when they raged and feared when they feared. That, to me, is a sigh of fantastic writing.

This is a dark read and contains some pretty strong content. For me it was integral to the plot and needed but I understand that this would not be for everyone. If you like your romance fluffy then this probably isn't for you.

This was a terrific action packed finale to a very original and completely engrossing series. I'm a little sorry this series has come to an end but I am extremely satisfied with the conclusion.

I loved every minute of this and look forward to reading more of this authors work.

What a way to end this fantastic series.
I'm so sad this was the last book if I'm honest.
I'm addicted to these Scarred souls. You just can't help but get attached to these guys. I'm hoping for some kind of spin off in the future. A girl can dream right? I'm not ready to say goodbye.

This book features around 901 and 152 he's the Blood Pits
Champion fighter she's a slave used in the worst way.
The Master wants 901 under his control completely. He's always been so defiant and the Master has nothing to use against his best fighter to keep him in line.
901 doesn't love anything. He won't let himself get close to anyone. To show any weakness.

The Master gifts him 152 to use her to keep him in line.
Forced into Hell together these two need each other to survive.
Forced to play the Masters sick game. They come to realise love and kindness can be found in the depths of Hell.

I loved this book so much, the ending was perfect.
I'm pleased we got to see the rest of the characters from previous books. I wouldn't of felt like we got closure otherwise. But we did. Tillie finished the series just right.

OMG this series has just been phenomenal, and Riot is no exception!! I have loved each and every one of them, each so very individual in their storylines and yet so connected as well. Something about those tortured fighters only being able to be reached by that one woman calls to me. The men are so Alpha, domineering, possessive and over the top - but in these storylines this really works, and is incredibly HAWT!!

This is the story of 152 (194/Valentin's sister), taken with her brother and raised to be a Mona, but she has been noticed by Master Arziani, who wants her all to himself.

901 is the Blood Pit's undefeated champion, frightened of nothing or no one, including Master Arziani. This is creating a problem for the Crime Boss, as 901 is not following orders to make this kills drawn out and give the spectators something to watch.

Its not until 152 appears on the arm of Master Arziani, capturing the attention of 901 with her beauty, who fails to hide his appreciation from his Master, that a plan starts to form in Master Arziani's head, of using 152 to get to 901, and to bring him to heel.

Valentin is still determined to free his sister from the Blood Pit, and along with Zaal and Luka plans are afoot to bring down the Blood Pit and Master Arziani once and for all.

A brilliant storyline yet again, although different to the others in this series, as the majority of the story takes place within the Blood Pit whilst they are still captive, unlike the other books where they are freed quite early on. I love the feels between 901 and 152, how 901 tries to resist his feelings, how 152 finds herself caring for the most brutal of warriors yet underneath this he is sweet and caring towards her.
