I'm a nail tech student. Most of the other students in my class have the blue vogue my manicurist drill that's listed for $64.99 previously 59.99. I opted for this one for fifty dollars and ships thru prime, has a foot pedal, more accessories, and came in pink. So far I only used it once. I think it's cool so far but to be completely honest it doesn't seem as quiet or as powerful as my classmates drill. Plus I like the simple clean look of their drill when compared to this one. But it's not super loud and it is smooth, it's not as powerful as I thought but it'll be good practice for school and home use. I'll try to remember to update this review as I use it more and test the longevity.

Update:
I've used this drill on a regular basis and I love it. I had it for about 9 months. It fits drill bits that are sold at the local nail supply, I think you will see a huge difference with a professional bit. The ones it comes with are a great to start with but you will definitely want to get a pro nail bit soon. It will make a big difference in speed, power needed, volume (because you won't need to turn it up as high), comfort (the ones it comes with can make your finger hot if you try to drill too much). I now give it 5 stars.

5.0 out of 5 stars I LOVE my Nail Drill! 31 Mar. 2013

I was super excited to get this drill! I've had someone else do my nails for the past 17 years and just wanted to be able to do my own. This drill is GREAT!

It comes with a foot pedal, a drill stand, a box of drill bits with 3 bags of file bits, another big set of drill bits, a nail file <which i personally don't like>. This drill is able to go forward, reverse with variable speed of slow, fast or in-between. You don't need to buy anything to go with it - its got everything you need to get started!

It took me a few tries to figure out how to change out the drill bits. My drill came with 0 instructions - but thankfully there is a photo in the listing <3rd photo> that shows/tells you how to do it. You HAVE to hold the bottom silver part of the drill FIRMLY, then twist the middle pink part to the left until you hear it click into place, pull bit out/push bit in, then turn it back to the right until it clicks in place. You're all set! My first 2 times I didn't turn the pink all the way so the bits did not come out - make sure you hold it firmly and turn all the way in each direction.

The drill is very easy to use - even for someone like me who didn't go to nail school or anything like that. After 17 years of faithfully getting my nails done, by the same person - every 2-3 weeks - I paid attention to how mine were done. It will take practice until I get mine perfect...but I'm happy to have this! I haven't used the foot pedal yet, but it does work- no issues with my drill at all.

For the money paid for this machine - it will pay for itself after 2-3 manicures. It is definitely worth every penny I paid for it and I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a great nail drill!
I ordered this on Tuesday after dinner - it was at my door Friday morning and I didn't pay any extra for fast shipping!
THAT is awesomeness!!

This is my first electric nail drill so I wasn't sure what to expect! This is a great starter drill. I am a cosmetologist and have decided to expand my business to offering nail services. I had looked at drills at my local supply house. I found one that was very similar to this one but much more expensive! I am very happy I researched and took a chance to purchase this one! They give you instructions on how to attach and remove the drill bits, it's very important to pay attention to them! If the silver part of the drill pen becomes loose you will not be able to remove or attach drill head! So far I am very pleased with this product! Love the speed control option as well!
