If you ever thought the Undertones would sound better with a female singer this disc is for you. If you ever thought Elastica could have been a bit less the Stranglers and a bit more Buzzcocks this disc is for you. It does nothing new but reheats that punky-power pop sound, with added harmonies, rather brilliantly.

The album cover is a fair indication of what's on offer here i.e music to roll down the car window, lean out as far as you can and let your hair blow in the wind?
Fronted by sisters Jennifer & Jessie this is a fine album full of lovely 60's style harmonies over excellent jangly/rocky guitars.
Vocally reminiscent of Frankie Rose & The Dum Dum Girls and musically somewhere in Shop Assistants territory.
The opener `looking for a fight' however has a garage feel going on and `outta my mind' is more soulful (and for me therefore less interesting) but the rest of the tracks are just great indie/punk guitar beauties albeit perhaps a little too 'samey' (my only complaint).

I thought it would be better than it is, ok females vocals and some rock and roll, but nothing new in this work, just a common rock band.

5.0 out of 5 stars what's not to love? 11 Jun. 2016
By Angela M - Published on Amazon.com

I love this album. I actually bought "Welcome the Worms", their newer release, first, and I like WTW even better. But this is still absolutely deserving of five stars. Good balance of a harder sound and nice lazy melodies. Garage band done right and it had me hooked from the first listen. At the start of this year, I'd never even heard of Bleached and now I have 2 of their albums in heavy rotation. As a thirtysomething who can at times be unduly attached to my old standby 80s and early 90s music, that's saying something!

4.0 out of 5 stars Awesome debut album 29 Jun. 2013
By Andrew J. Polhamus - Published on Amazon.com

This has a great new-wave feel, which is a nice response to the band's early EPs, which were mostly crunchy girly pop punk songs. Don't get me wrong, that early material is great, but this record transfers that old sound over into more polished production. More adventurous tracks have pleasant Blondie vibes, and the subdued atmosphere of the album is great, even on the faster, harder songs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love it, Love it, Love it 18 May 2013

I love the garage band feel of this album. Music is not to complicated, but it is good bouncy, poppy rock and roll music. Watch the Gorburger Show video with Bleached playing Next Stop.
