Rosie has once again written another fabulous book, this time a historical book with a flavor of what one may expect from a Catherine Cookson, for example threading real life events into the story, but id have to say this book is better than a Cookson.
Right from the start, you can tell that much research has gone into the story and the little details do go to show you a real essence of millinars in the 1800's. The hard work was worth it Rosie!
The story surrounds Amy, a very likable character and her well earned 'Cinderella' rise from humble beginings to where she works her way to become a designer.
The book is a page turner, no dull moments and all characters are likable, believable and i would love to see this one made into a tv drama or a movie.

Couldn't put this book down, Rosie Goodwin is a great writer. She brought together so many feelings that we all have. There's joy, heartache, and everyday life in the mid-1800's in this story, richman or poorman. Definately a 5 star rating.

This is a great book and another superb story from Rosie Goodwin who is now by far my favourite writer. This is an inspiring story set in the 1800's about a young girl who's life takes her on a fabulous journey and as usual there are the twists and turns that keep you turning those pages. The details and accounts of the era are excellent as are the descriptions of the characters and surroundings. Cant wait for my next Rosie Goodwin read!!

I love any book by Rosie Goodwin. She has that magical quality in her reading to keep you glued to every page. The Ribbon Weaver was no exception. I couldn't put the book down, it was compelling. At the end of the book - I broke down in floods of tears much to the bemusement of my husband, who I fear does not suffer my passion! All of Rosie books are so beautifully written. If you haven't yet read it, try The Boy From Nowhere. Another one guaranteed to tug at the heartstrings. Rosie, you are a fabulous author who writes from the heart and probably from your own experiences with work in social services and life as a foster carer. I applaud you and your work. Keep them coming for I am one of your biggest fans. xThe Ribbon Weaver

This is another great book by Rosie Goodwin. I have loved every book of hers and can honestly say that I have read other authors but none seem to be as good. Her stories are great and I find it difficult to put her books down.

I am now on my eighth book by Rosie and have never been disappointed with any book I have read. My all time favourite Author. As with all Rosie's book could not put this down until I finished. So pleased Rosie has a lot more books to go yet. I intend to read them all. Highly recommend.

Absolutely brilliant - I couldn't put it down.

(Hey fellas, be aware that if you buy your wife a kindle (on YOUR Amazon Ac) like I did, all your friends who read your Amazon reviews think you have odd reading habits.)

That should satisfy the more words required by Amazon before they will allow you to submit a review!

This is the first book I have read by this author. It is a brilliant read from start to finish. It is steeped in social history and reinforces the importance of family life and honesty. I am looking forward to reading another book by Rosie Goodwin.
