Top Customer Reviews
I tested the "strip cut version" for review. Sitting at the entry level range this still offers a reasonable level of security (it's a ribbon cut but once you've emptied this into the re-cycling bin and it's all mixed up unlikely anyone would be putting the pieces back) Very small opening for paper and it auto stops if the top is removed no concerns about safety with this model.
The main bin is 10 litres (glossy black finish) which is a reasonable capacity and slightly larger than some models I've tried, at the top a curved lip gives you an indication of how full the bin is. Top part with the cutters isn't too heavy easy to remove even though there is no handle. One advantage of the strip shredding is you get less mess when taking removing the bin bits don't fall down from the cutter unit.
Max capacity is 5 sheets (of normal gauge paper 80GSM) if you are loading up thicker paper reduce the page count to compensate, avoid using laminated paper this melts and can clog the blades (not just on this model but any shredder) Top controls are "Auto" it detects when paper is inserted, off, and a manual reverse in case you get a jam. Performance was excellent it's fairly quiet, quick and required no intervention to remove jams (don't overload it with pages though). During normal use I didn't trigger the thermal cut off (you should get about 4-5 minutes constant shredding before it trips), if you are shredding high volumes of paper (on a regular basis) then you really need a larger model this is fine for occasional light home use.
You can also shred bank cards and staples though I would remove paper clips.Read more ›

Does the job well. I got it jammed a few times but that was more my fault. Easy to fix and quick to shred .Published 9 days ago by Amazon Customer
Has no problem turning paper into confetti as long as it is a maximum of three sheets at a time. Ideal for home use, not for the busy office environment. Read morePublished 10 days ago by Amazon Customer

I've had to take it apart and fix it quite a few times now... but I think this is because I've been overloading the sheet limit. Read morePublished 17 days ago by Andy Preston
