Otherwise, besides that small error it's a great, well-written story. The characters are fabulously drawn, the dialogue is so believable.
Latch is every woman's book boyfriend, rich, handsome and doesn't mind having an older girlfriend.
Haven is mixed up, she's quiet, reserved and her confidence nil after her last boyfriend was abusive towards her.
When they meet the author writes beautifully about how Haven feels, that the age gap is wrong etc but how she's drawn to Latch.
It's a great story, I loved this and her other book Bite and Release. I can't wait for more.
Suitable for older readers due to content.
Haven has only loved one man.
But that man didn't love her, he was a hurtful horrible man.
When Haven final found the courage to leave him she left a shell.
Hurt by what he did to her haven has spent 7years alone frightened to feel or love
The only person she is close to is her best friend Weezie
Latch McKay is a manwhore well that's what Google will tell you.
Underneath it all Latch is not who you think he is he has some deep dark secrets.
So what happens between Haven and Latch?
Will they help each other?
Can they love each other, or will the pasts and present lives get in the way.
Loved this book 5 ***** such an emotional dreaded with lots of laughs too.
The chemistry between Lach and Haven was ok, but nothing spectacular. Even the presence of dual POV wasn't enough to salvage it.
Also the repeated erroneous statement that Scotland was not part of Great Britain became jarring and disrupted the narrative. Mistakes in a novel pull me out of it and it's difficult to then get back into it again.
It could have been so much better.
This is the second book I have read by this author and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Cory Cyr to anyone.
Latch and Haven are individually scarred so their relationship shouldn't work. Will they or won't they come out the other side together?
Guess you'll have to read it for yourself to find out.
This novel is full of friendship, love, lust and heartache.
