Revive is Nash's story. Oh, Nash. I want to smoosh his cheeks and then do untold naughty things to him. I fell in love with him. Hard. God knows I love me a brooding, dark male lead!
Nash harbours a secret. One his family know but that's it. He has his 'brothers' in the MC but none that know his deepest and darkest secrets. He has a friend in Velvet, the headliner at the MC's Strip Club but she doesn't know his deepest and darkest secret. Hell, we're seeing a personal insight into his life and WE don't know!! This hidden truth has been eating at Nash for almost a decade without closure, without moving on and without release.
Velvet had a promising future. From a 'trailer trash' background she received a scholarship to college to study law. She met a boy. They fell in love. She left college behind to get married and be a good little housewife. Her husband, James, was a d*ck and screwed her over. Divorced for 5 years, Velvet had made herself into a strong, independent woman and was finally making something of herself at 32 years old.
This story is about their friendship turning into a casual relationship into something else. It's a succession of events full of intrigue, guesswork (on our part!) and frustration. At times I just wanted to bang their heads together!
Nash hasn't leant on anyone for a long time. He's always been the dependable, strong, head male and for him to need someone, to rely on someone it was a show of weakness. One he didn't need in his personal life nor at the club house.
This book and the story of Nash and Velvet tugged at my heart strings. They both had less than happy pasts and bad, scarring memories but they found lightness and relief in one another. Whether it's the right time for them remained to be seen.
This is the most emotional of the Storm MC books and I devoured it, staying up until the early hours with a deep need to finish it! Both Nash and Velvet's pasts made me shed a tear and the final reveal just made me sob like a child. A fantastic read with an immense depth of feeling that left me reeling and needing more.
And the twist at the end? WOAH! Sorry, no spoilers here! Go and read it for yourself to find out! Thank you, Nina for another fab read! <3
I for one have always loved Nash Walker's character. His flirting, humour and genuine love for his biker family shines through in previous books. But I've been curious as to what drove him to drink and sleep through women at the rate I drink coffee!
Nash Walker appears to be a confident, cocky, carefree playboy but inside he's a cyclone of anger, insecurity, guilt and hurt. Velvet, a stripper at Indigo and the woman who he's been friends with for four years sees another damaged soul and wants to help him heal. She has her own past which makes her guard her heart as much as Nash does, betrayal, lies and doubt from vicious Ex husbands can do that to a woman. They find solace in friendship, an easiness that is a rarity to find.
One night changes all that, can two people with so much hurt and pain let their hearts be revived by each other or will the demons of their pasts keep them apart??
Nina gives us all the details of Nash's history and what a life he has lead, I felt for what he'd had to deal with and understood why he guarded his heart so well. This book focuses on acceptance and forgiveness " your largest fear carries your greatest growth" this applies to Nash and Velvet. Both are capable of love and deserve to be loved their only obstacle is their insecurities, doubt and guilt.
This book also has the brewing tension of Marcus and the club which culminates in the mother of all revelations at the end. Storm MC will never be the same again and left me reeling with thoughts on Griff, Kick and Wilder!!!! Nina how could you do that to us!!
I adored this book and my only complaint was that it ended!! A five star ride from start to finish roll on October with Blade's story Slay.

Revive is the third book in this series and I loved it. This novel made me fall in love with the Storm Boys all over again, but Nash has wormed himself back into my favourite man category! This is a story that has spicy hot sex scenes and raw emotions which will make your heart break.
Nash is a ladies man! Tall, tattooed, and a body to drool over makes him every woman's dream and does this guy know it. While Violet has long dark hair and tattoos on her arms that have a very special significance to her, and as she is building her self-worth back up after being put down by her ex-husband, she doesn't trust anyone.
Nash and Violet are friends and both have troubled pasts, so they've both built walls up to protect their hearts. All Nash wants to do is have fun and forget while all Violet is trying to do is build herself a better life. Nash and Violet’s friendship has its ups and downs. He struggles with the skeletons in his closet and Violet is getting totally confused as her feelings for him are turning into more than a friendship. But once they both realise their feelings are mutual, they decide to give their relationship a go. An event takes place and pushes Nash over the edge and makes him get on his bike and flee. Violet finds Nash and is devastated when she finds him in the state he’s in.
I felt every emotion that Nash went through and wanted to wrap him up in my arms and not let go. I have given this novel a FIVE STAR rating because this book has an incredible story line with fantastic characters. But what I will say is you need to read the first two in this series first because there’s a problem with one of the Storm Boys. It’s of utmost importance and explained throughout all three books. I can't wait for more from this author and I’m looking forward to reading Blade next.
