The second book in this fantastic fantasy series ended on a real cliffhanger - so much so that I just had to read this sequel immediately - so glad I’d got the complete series on my kindle so there was no need to wait! Boy this story drags you into the action packed adventure. The characters are great - I’m really rooting for Eve through all the trauma and turmoil she experiences throughout this series! With a brother like Adam, she really doesn’t need all her other enemies! As many of her supporters desert her, the stalwart group have to work harder than ever to keep her safe, especially when she starts being attacked in her dreams! You start to wonder if things can get any worse for her - then they do!

I must admit this is a totally enthralling series, full of action and suspense, that I am loving! Each book so far, including this one, has been a real page turner that I really didn’t want to put down. Eve and all the other characters have been brought to life in my imagination by this highly talented author - I really didn’t want to stop reading and am keen to start on book 4, The Reckoning, but thought I’d really better write this review first. That’s it now, though, just got to find out what happens next! Highly recommend this and all the earlier books in the series - I can’t wait to read how it concludes!

I don't know how to write this review, it's hard to talk about a book that you love so much without ruining any part of the story. And the truth is that every twist and turn is something that the reader deserves to discover first hand.

I honestly didn't believe that The Sentinel series could get any better but then I picked up my copy of The Revenge and was blown away!

I don't know how Holly Martin has done it but from the first page I was thoroughly gripped to the point where this book consumed me and I loved every freaking minute of it!

The Revenge sees us returning to the fort with Eve and her guardians and this is where we find life getting weirder following the news about Eve's brother Adam.
With this turn of events the story takes us on a page turning journey that had me experiencing every emotion going.
I won't lie there were times when I found myself feeling frustrated purely because I needed to know what was going to happen, the suspense was intense.

I loved every minute of being reunited with Eve and her guardians, catching up with the many relationships that are formed and learning more about the abilities they share.

But as with every instalment of this series my love for Lucas has grown. I am still amazed by the connection he has with Eve, something that proves invaluable at times. There is something so deep rooted about their connection that I still find myself waiting for a secret to be revealed, which is likely to be wishful thinking on my part.

To sum it up this book is incredible, if you haven't started this series then you need to do so now and if you have, why are you reading this review and not The Revenge????

The Revenge is the third installment in The Sentinel series, and it's just as brilliantly written as the first two books. The story picks up with Eve in peril. The Oraculum, who created her to save the world, now want to execute her. On the run, Eve's life is at risk not only from the Putarians who want to kill her, but by those pledged to protect her-The Guardians-who have now turned against her.

Worse, her half-brother Adam is out to destroy her and take her position as the true Sentinel. Adam might be related by blood, but he's not at all like Eve in the heart. He's evil, bitter, and out to destroy Eve for having what he didn't-a family and freedom-for all these years.

The Revenge is a book that has you running along with Eve trying to escape. You feel the tension in the pages building and you are simply hoping Eve figures a way out of this horrible, back against the wall situation. You run with her. You try to figure out who is indeed a friend-or really a foe. You feel her anguish, her exhaustion, her fear for those she loves and the blow of surprising betrayals. Ms. Martin also has some plot twists that I never would have seen coming-ones that made me go "ooooooooooooooooooh!" while reading.

The Revenge is the book that The Sentinel fans have been waiting for. Once again, buckle up and hold on tight-because you are in for another roller coaster ride with Ms. Martin at the helm.

Thank you to Holly for sending me a copy of this book to review.

I loved the first two books in this series and I have been eager to start this one since I finished book 2 in July.

This book focuses on Adam. Adam is Eve's brother. When Eve was first created she was very ill so they made a backup in case she died. Adam was their backup. When Eve got better they locked Adam in a cell and basically left him there to rot.

Now Adam wants his revenge on Eve and boy does he enjoy it. Poor Eve really goes through the mill in this book. I was really heartbroken for her. Adam is relentless in his torture and it seems that nothing can stop him.

This book is excellently written, Holly has you on the edge of your seat, furiously swiping at your kindle, while petrified about what is going to happen next.

I am now going to beg Holly to write faster so that I can read the final part in this series.
