Revell Control Stunt Car Two Side (Yellow/Red)

The name "Two Side" is no coincidence – this remote-controlled car can be driven on both sides!

The Stunt Car's sophisticated electronics ensure that the power always switches to the direction of the rotation of the wheels, so no matter whether it's being driven on the top or on the bottom it will maintain the same direction of travel.

The high power at hand gives the small racing cars enormous acceleration, ensuring there's plenty of high-paced driving fun at all times.

We're having lots of fun with this car which is more durable than I thought it might be and which, for a small item, packs quite a punch. It can be charged via USB or by a cable to the battery pack in the controller. We choose the former method and it takes around half an hour to charge. You do only get about 6 minutes or so playing after charging, but it's so good that we don't care!

In my video we haven't quite managed to control it as well as we might - excuse the collision with the curtain - but hopefully you at least see it in action and get an idea of size.

The car is billed as being at beginner level in terms of controls - I would say that's about right. I like the fact that you can steer it and go back and forth and being able to flip it over (going forwards and backwards in quick succession achieves this) is a great touch. We've used it inside and also on a brick path with no ill effect. I'd say construction wise it does look a bit flimsy but actually it's sturdier than it looks, the tyres are probably going to wear down a little though as they are made of foam, not rubber.

Great fun for adults and children alike and would be excellent as a gift for Father's Day or Christmas - we are going to buy another for a family member as a gift and think it is great.

This is my second German engineered but ‘made in China’ Revellutions model - the first was an excellent ‘Bone Breaker Monster Truck’ that works well but apart from forward/reverse and manoeuvring any ‘tricks’ need ramps or other obstacles to be constructed. This ‘Revell Control Stunt Car Two Side’ does the same but also so much more as it allows for exactly what the title suggests - stunt performance! It does it at full speed as the car is smaller than the truck and yet it covers ground at the same rate and certainly appears faster. It overcomes a deficiency of the truck by having internal lighting which looks great in the dark. However it is the stunt capacity that lifts the ‘Revell Control Stunt Car Two Side’ to a higher level - and it can literally rise to new levels as it back flips or pulls wheelies. For somersaults the car just carries on regardless showing its alternative red or yellow side. Different levels of driving skill are catered for from ‘beginner’ to ‘professional’ - I am a beginner and tootle along, but grandchildren are professional and flip skip about. I’m not sure how robust the car is - but for performance it is 5-star.

This is an amusing little toy. The kittens will go nuts for it. the lights will make them jump and attack and then purr with satisfaction. Also keeps them pretty fit. So it is a toy for humans or the feline friend, both I would say. The elder cat takes little note of it. But it's brood are anxious to chew at it and attack it. I reckon the little litter will be healthy and happy with this toy for 1 hour a day.

However, the children like it and it is easy to control. It wont go far on grass but in your home or level ground it has good speed. The ability to flip it is great the kittens go crazy when we flip it. The family seems to be satisfied with it and the kittens are exceptionally happy. They have been scratching at the box to take it out. But, all good things come to those who wait and the last thing I need is mental cats.

Although, I have this nagging feeling like everything else in life the novelty will wear off and this little toy maybe relegated to the toy box (how sad), until the next new toy makes the solemn procession into the living room.

I am fairly disappointed with this car due to the poor manufacturing of its components.
The remote control.
It needs 4 AA batteries and to open to battery compartment you need to unscrew a temperamental screw. The aerial is very flimsy and broke twice the first day, we were lucky to find a replacement, but the range of the unit is nowhere near the claimed 10 meters, is more 4 to 5 meters in the open.
The charging of the car takes a few hours from a USB connection but once fully charge the battery last 20 minutes at most in the normal mode, significantly less in turbo mode.
The car itself is nice and can be fast and fun to drive, but again is flimsy and after a couple of crashes the front axel was bent and needed some repairs.
It has been 2 days since we had it and frankly I will be surprised if this car last a week.
Is not expensive and can provide some fun, but this is not durable car.

A remote control car which flips over isn't exactly a new thing, so I wasn't expecting much, but this thing surprised me,

a) it's small, only slightly larger than the size of your hand

b) it's got an on board lithium battery, more like a helicopter than an RC car

c) it's FAST. Really fast.

I noticed you can change the speed it runs at using a rocker switch on the top, the slowest gives you good control indoors, but the fastest just makes the car go insane and flip over.

One of the best things is that when it flips, it has some kind of gyro on board so it knows it's flipped and carries on going the same direction, even though now technically it's facing backwards.

The tyres are foam sponge material and not rubber, so I'm not sure whether they will wear with a lot of use.
