First there's the colour of the tie. In reality the tie isn't as 'loud' as depicted in the photograph. This is good. It is described as sage green, and it's a very nice sage green. Not too bright, not too dark.
Then there's the other point. This tie is polyester, but looks exactly like a couple of silk ties I have. It has a very nice sheen. The beauty with polyester ties unlike the silk ones is the knot. After tying the knot silk ties tend to loosen, whereas polyester ties will not.
All in all, a good buy.
Unfortunately there is a small surface mark where a there is a pull, which is why it only has 4 stars. Under normal circumstances we would have returned it for an exchange, but it is needed for a funeral, so decided to keep it,
I would buy from this seller again, as I suspect it is just an unfortunate occurance and unlikely to happen again. The fault was not visible through the cellophane and only became apparent when it was taken out.
I must say I was impressed with the delivery times. The package arrived a few days earlier than expected which was great as it was originally due to arrive on the day I needed it. Bonus!
The tie itself was in a clear plastic sealed package with the company name on it, inside the Amazon packaging. No complaints there.
I was very happy with the tie at first... I thought it was perfect until I noticed it had an orange glow when I stood under light which was really disappointing as I planned on wearing it to a wedding. Other than that there is absolutely nothing wrong with the tie. It feels like good quality and looks quite nice.
Would definitely buy again, just not this color.
Honestly, it's so shiny, a magpie came flying out of the packaging. Then when I looked at the tie, the sun reflected off it – blinding me!
So I was left blind, with a magpie flying around my head, and a ridiculously shiny tie.
I even asked for a return/ money back. But they didn't even get back to me.
Good luck to 'em. Papa bless.

I liked the tie till it started to come unstitched; before it was worn, he only tried it on, I had to sew it up the complete length before he could wear it for work tonight.Published 5 days ago by Linda Rose Evans
I would say the colour I got was more orange red, then wine red. Initially, I was planning to return the tie, but luckily it goes okay with my black... Read more
Supposed to be a Skinny Tie suitable for a young boy, tie that came is more of a Kipper tie for an old man.Published 1 month ago by Ian Harvey
This is a lovely tie but after one days wear the stitching unravelled. For the money one days wear was good i suppose.Published 2 months ago by Stella McConnell
Marvellous value - and what a stylish tie that has attracted much praise! I would NEVER have risked a silky sage green tie at £20 or £30. Read morePublished 2 months ago by Desert Rat
