Ashe Barker has done a great job with this story.
It is well crafted and fast paced, and it will certainly hold your attention.
The story begins in England in 1475,12 year old Lady Jane of Acton was married to Gerard Twyfford,Earl Of Rosework.
This was a marriage of convenience only.Jane had been betrothed to Gerard at 2 years old.
Jane was sent to her husbands home to mature ,and learn how to run the household.
Gerard showed no interest in Jane until she finds herself over his knee for disobeying his orders.
He then takes her virginity, this was a very painful experience for Jane.
He graces her bed monthly in the hope of producing a heir.
Unfortunately Jane miscarries twice.
Jane flees the castle after catching her husband in bed with another women.
She falls into the lake and is never found again.
Forward to 2011 and Gerard is now a vampire. He comes across a women at the lake near his family home .
It seem impossible that it could be Jane .Ged is in disbelief at first ,but comes to accept that fate have brought them back together.
He is determined to be a better man and husband to Jane.
Ged is a Dom and they are exploring Jane's submissive side.
He does not hesitate to punish her when needed.
This is a compelling story with suspense, drama, danger and so much more.
The characters have depth and are captivating.
This not only has vampires but also time travel book.
Jane had difficulty adapting to the twentieth century initially but soon became more comfortable with her new surroundings.
The emotions of the two main characters were deeply explored which made it a compelling read.
I was given this book by the author for a honest review.
