About the Author

USA Today best-selling author Ashe Barker has been an avid reader of fiction for many years, erotic and other genres. She still loves reading, the hotter the better. But now she has a good excuse for her guilty pleasure – research. Ashe tends to draw on her own experience to lend colour, detail and realism to her plots and characters. An incident here, a chance remark there, a bizarre event or quirky character, any of these can spark a story idea. Ashe lives in the North of England, on the edge of the Brontë moors and enjoys the occasional flirtation with pole dancing and drinking Earl Grey tea. When not writing – which is not very often these days - her time is divided between her role as taxi driver for her teenage daughter, and caring for a menagerie of dogs, tortoises. And a very grumpy cockatiel. At the last count Ashe had around forty titles on general release with publishers on both sides of the Atlantic, and several more in the pipeline. She writes M/f, M/M, and occasionally rings the changes with a little M/M/f. Ashe’s books invariably feature BDSM. She writes explicit stories, always hot, but offering far more than just sizzling sex. Ashe likes to read about complex characters, and to lose herself in compelling plots, so that’s what she writes too. Ashe has a pile of story ideas still to work through, and keeps thinking of new ones at the most unlikely moments, so you can expect to see a lot more from her.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dom Vampire and sub Time Traveler--Time Does Tell 26 Sept. 2016

Leave it to Ashe Barker to weave together vampires, time travel, British history and BDSM into a compelling and intriguing (did I mention sexy?) story!! This is an author with literary finesse! The story begins in 1475 with Jane being betrothed and married at a very young age to a slightly older nobleman, Gerard, who isn't even at the wedding. She is rescued initially by Anne Neville and her husband, Richard (later crowned as Richard III) from having to live with this husband she does not know until she is 17. Theirs is a perfunctory marriage with only 2 stillborn babies to come of it. A cataclysmic event catapults Jane to the year 2013. She is rescued by Ged whom she recognizes as her husband Gerard. Ged knows she looks like his wife who drowned but cannot believe it is her. Oh, did I mention Ged is a vampire? He was turned shortly after Jane disappeared. Thus begins the enthralling tale of a marriage being resurrected. Stay with me now. Ged has to be sure that it is her and she is totally bewildered by what happened, the terrifying 21st century, and the fact that her husband is a vampire and a very sexy Dom as well. And we are treated to some very hot scenes where Jane is introduced to her role as sub. Vampires in our 21st century are very civilized and Jane, and we as readers, get a quick study of Vampires 101. Jane's introduction to the vagaries of the 21st century are often funny but Ged is very patient with her, realizing she is who she says she is and how he neglected he when they were back in the late 1400s Their love is resurrected, but a near tragedy threatens to end it for all time. Ged must make a hard decision concerning Jane, and it concerns some 21st century medical magic. And Jane's friend, Richard, Duke of Gloucester has a presence in the 21st century which is based on fact. I loved this book! I have read it twice already! PS There is a nod to Harry Potter here, too---look for it!

Absolutely LOVED this book! It had everything: vampires, time travel, kinky historical romance. It was the perfect blend The characters were well rounded and easy to love. The writing was excellent. I read the entire book in one day because I just couldn't put it down. Snuck a chapter here and there during work hours, read in the drive thru while getting coffee, and finished up while taking an extended lunch- so I could read it. It's a must read!

5.0 out of 5 stars Vampire/Time travel Romance 4 Oct. 2016

This has to be one of the most interesting books I've read in quite sometime.
Ashe Barker has done a great job with this story.
It is well crafted and fast paced, and it will certainly hold your attention.
The story begins in England in 1475,12 year old Lady Jane of Acton was married to Gerard Twyfford,Earl Of Rosework.
This was a marriage of convenience only.Jane had been betrothed to Gerard at 2 years old.
Jane was sent to her husbands home to mature ,and learn how to run the household.
Gerard showed no interest in Jane until she finds herself over his knee for disobeying his orders.
He then takes her virginity, this was a very painful experience for Jane.
He graces her bed monthly in the hope of producing a heir.
Unfortunately Jane miscarries twice.
Jane flees the castle after catching her husband in bed with another women.
She falls into the lake and is never found again.
Forward to 2011 and Gerard is now a vampire. He comes across a women at the lake near his family home .
It seem impossible that it could be Jane .Ged is in disbelief at first ,but comes to accept that fate have brought them back together.
He is determined to be a better man and husband to Jane.
Ged is a Dom and they are exploring Jane's submissive side.
He does not hesitate to punish her when needed.
This is a compelling story with suspense, drama, danger and so much more.
The characters have depth and are captivating.
This not only has vampires but also time travel book.
Jane had difficulty adapting to the twentieth century initially but soon became more comfortable with her new surroundings.
The emotions of the two main characters were deeply explored which made it a compelling read.
I was given this book by the author for a honest review.
