Names which will be recognisable to those who collect Hot Boppin' Girls and related are Dorothy Collins whose total output is now on a double CD.Jean Dinning who was one of the Dinning Sisters,Debbie Stevens who became Debbie Dean in the 60s,Jackie de Shannon with one of her Sand singles,Judy Harriet who was a Mousketeer,Jamie Horton -here with her original Robot Man and was formerly Gayllen Peavey) and Kathy Zee who ended up a bigger name in Germany where the Cult of the Hot Boppin' Girl started.
Plus a few others who have been well antholgised on comps like Real Gone Girls. Its as well to check out the website Rockin' Country Style to check out at least thee existence of names like Sheree Scott.Anything not added to their site but just mentioned in passing will no doubt be a Pixie.Worth a visit as there's all the girl comps on there except the Sortofs
And here you find Linda Glover who later cut a Beatles tribute and ended up in Real Estate. Her song stands out as a profound statement of life and is called Counting Sheep.Incredible chorus which goes "number one sheep can't sleep I can't sleep number two sheep can't sleep I can't sleep...." and is very infectious

4.0 out of 5 stars one good track 18 Mar. 2012
By William T. Gilbert III - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD Verified Purchase
this CD has one good track on it, that I am familiar with. Robot Man is a good song. there are a lot of tracks on this CD, that I am not familiar with. I would have liked to find a better price on this, but I think I did OK. it seems to be a good recording. it has been a while since I have been able to find Robot Man in any form, and I am glad I found it on CD. You tube will let me listen to this, when they are in the correct working mode for my computer. may be something on my end giving problems sometimes, but you tube is good when it works for me. well, I' not for or against you tube in this review, I am more about the CD Restless Doll-- good CD over all.

5.0 out of 5 stars Rockabilly Mom 21 Oct. 2004

Selection #5, "I'm Getting Restless" features my mom, Mona Lunsford. My mom passed away in 1992, several years before this CD was released. She would have been thrilled to have known that her song finally went somewhere.
She wrote it...she sings it...it's got to be great! Way to go, Mom!

5.0 out of 5 stars Soulful Rocking Grandma Nell 12 Jan. 2010
By Anita - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
I grew up listening to my Grandma Nell (Mona Lunsford) sing the songs she had written. She was so talented. What a gift to discover that she was included on this CD (#5, I'm Getting Restless). This music will appeal to listeners of all ages. A valuable piece of musical history! So nice for my family to know that her lyrics and voice lives on.

What a shock and thrill to find this CD with my Grandma (Mona Lunsford) singing the #5 selection which she wrote. How I wish she was still with us to see this. Can't help but love the rest of the CD because she is a part of it!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Restless Doll 28 Jan. 2008
By P. Rose - Published on Amazon.com

We think this album is great. We wanted to hear the music before we purchased such a pricy item, however, no such happening. The response
after purchasing was fantastic. We were able to track our purchase and it was delivered quickly.
In the future, we would enjoy listening to the music before we make a selection. There are so many one-of-a-kind music albums we 'could' be interested in purchasing.
