She enjoys stories that tug at her emotions and isn't a fan of the insta-love type of romance. Her dream is to travel the world with her husband and children beside her. The first time she started writing, she couldn't stop, which leads to now, and the publication of her first novel in The Bad Boy Reformed Trilogy, Raising Ryann.

I enjoyed the first book but there is so much wrong with the second, most of the story the characters who you want to be together are apart and then the whole misunderstanding happens at the end making the story end on a cheap shot. I read this book within a couple of hours yet it's not published as a short story, which it should be as I felt that I have only read part of a book.

When we came to the end of book one, Raising Ryan, I think we all went into shock mode as a straight forward love story it was not to be. The story of Luke and Reese continues months later in the follow up, Resisting Ryan. Reese has no idea where Luke is and tries in vain to carry on with her life. She befriends her next door neighbour Sean, who has a bit of a soft spot for her. OK, he fancies the pants off her!

Book two stays in the present day which I'm glad to say works really well. Reese is reunited with her father and slowly lets him into her life because he has changed his life around. He regrets the way he has treated his wife and daughter and by doing this, he hopes to atone for his past sins. Luke's father has been released from prison and sets about recruiting his son by threatening the safety of Reese. He has no choice but to join his father and his associates in the dealing of drugs and guns.

Book two definitely redeemed itself in my eyes and although I felt book one was slow and a tad boring and predictable, I loved the cliffy. However, Resisting Ryan is fast paced and action packed, and I have to admit that I loved the gritty story line with a brilliant plot to match. More characters have been introduced which has made this story so much more exciting, too. Once again we are left on tenterhooks! Will Luke make it back to Reese? Will they have their happy ever after? Will his dad leave him alone to live the life he wants with Reese?

Don’t be put off by me mentioning to you that the beginning of book one starts off a little unhurriedly, because this certainly is not the case in this one and it really looks like we're going to be in for humdinger of an ending! I'm going to keep my eye on this author and I just can't wait for her new release. Well done Alyssa Rae Taylor!
Roll on book 3 !!!

OK I too did not know this was a trilogy (should have given us a heads up) Right. Now let's talk about the book the story is great and keeps getting better but I have a major problem with books that hang a story on the "will they won't they have sex" so I hope that when the 3rd book comes out they "get it on" and a bit if free advice if they do you better make it a lonnnggg scene and not a case of a kiss then you turn the page and its the next day! trust me fans will be very unhappy. Im not trying to take attention away from the story but you can't build this up for 2 books and then not deliver lol x

This book follows what is going on present time for Luke and Reese. It picks up a few months after Raising Ryann ends. The book starts in Luke’s POV, and we are learning about what he is doing and why it is keeping him away from Reese. Luke has got himself involved in a situation that he is only doing to protect Reese. “It’s the only way to put an end to him once and for all – to keep Reese safe.”

In Reese’s POV we get to see a lot of interaction between her, her dad, Logan, Gia and new neighbour Sean. Logan has been looking out for Reese since Luke left. He is doing this because he made promises to Luke. I love the interaction and banter between Logan and Reese, he is like the annoying brother that you can’t get rid of no matter what you do. Logan is trying his best to help Reese, but his loyalty is to Luke, although he does give her some home truths. “You think he’s with another chick? You really don’t have a clue, do you? You’re it for him. He’s in love with you.”

We learn that a few people in Reese’s life are keeping things from her…Luke, Logan and her dad. There is a whole new side to her dad, and he is protecting her. He will do whatever it takes for her to be safe. Things happen that make the story turn in a few different directions. People come and go in the book, they all seem to want something. We meet new characters who I feel will have a massive impact on the next part of Luke and Reese’s story. Rachelle and Sean, I feel have some agenda. Im just not sure what.

Three months after a major incident for Reese, Luke returns, sadly for him it appears he is too late. Reese heard things and then when he shows wires are mixed and it seems that the damage is done. What an ending to this book………….i need the next one now. Well done Alyssa Rae Taylor on a fantastic read, bring on Breaking Ryann.

“Ill respect your wishes and leave you alone, but Im not going to stop loving you. I never could.”

Good book but never knew it was a trilogy think it would have been better with a happy ending rather than dragging into a 3rd book though I know I will end up reading it, a little disappointed

This is part 2 in a trilogy, and it left on quite a cliffhanger. I really like the main characters in this story (I actually really like logan, don't hate me!) and felt that although they were barely together for this edition, they both were very much in the forefront of the others mind. I really don't like Sean, don't know why but I have a bad feeling about him and I really hope Reese's relationship with him doesn't get physical.
Gah! That ending? I wanted to shout at them both to just spit it out instead of arguing but that wouldn't have made a very interesting book now would it!
On to book 3!
