Having seen a few other books about research I did not really expect this to be such an enjoyable read. It is rather more than simply a book about research methods as it looks at the topic from a range of contemporary perspectives and gives practical examples, many of which come from the authors own experience. In doing so it helps to bridge the gap between practice, theory and research. It is well written and accessible, with a comprehensive glossary, endnotes and bibliography. Highly recommended but not only by those involved in the architectural field. In emphasising the multi-disciplinary nature of architecture it would also be of interest to those in the arts or humanities.
