I read this book some time ago, and being a Guernseyman and a retired Police Officer I found it fascinating. The book works through the German Occupation of Guernsey during WW2, from the Policing perspective. It details the trials and tribulations of trying to administer civil law whilst under an occupying military authority and gives an amzing insight as to how the Island Police managed to function. Very good read.
