This is my first book by this author, and it was a decent enough read. However, I'm a huge fan of MM romances and happen to beta for a couple of well-known authors, so I've come to expect a great deal from my reads - lots of emotions, angst, a great storyline, a break-up and then a HEA or at least the start of a HEA. I did like that there was an epilogue a few months down the line that showed these leads living their HEA, but for me, the tale felt far too lite on most things.

With Parker being made to feel so inferior by his father, and with the latter being such an arrogant git, there should have been a really satisfying showdown scene in which Parker walked away the stronger. I mean, he was a 29yo lawyer and yet he accepted his father's actions and put-downs as if was inferior to the latter and as if he had no confidence in his own abilities. He didn't seem to be the kind of lawyer I'd want working for me, if I ever needed one, but he did have a decent moral stance, belated as this was.

I didn't believe that, TMZ reporting or not, any lawyer would discuss a case with anyone outside of the firm, risking his reputation as well as that of the firm. I mean, for Parker to discuss details with his not-really-friend, Zan, and with Liam's ex, Gabe didn't ring true.

I did believe in Liam's trauma and why he ran away, but when it was revealed, it seemed a bit too much to take that he wouldn't have at least made some effort to tell a grown-up, or that he didn't wonder about what might happen to his younger brother.

MY REVIEW
I have read a few books by this author now, and i have to say she is fast becoming one of my favorites. Her books have so much passion and real feelings within the pages it flows through you and into your soul. Melissa's writing is sublime and a joy to read.

Repaired is one of those books you feel under your skin, the plot and story line magnify the characters to such a level that you feel like you know them.
Liam and Parker are two men both in desperate need of love and acceptance. Parker the successful lawyer working at his dads practice, drives a nice car, owns a big beautiful house. To all looking in his life is perfect but underneath the perfect outer Parker is really unhappy, nothing will ever be good enough for his father since he uttered the words 'im Gay'.
I really hated that Parker had to work so hard to get some sort of acceptance or even love from his father. The relationship that Parker has with Liam, his support and acceptance shows him that no matter what he does it will never please the man he has looked up to for most of his life.
Liam has a heart wrenching past that he wants to keep buried, a past he has been running from for 10 years.
I really loved Parker and his very alpha dominant side in the bedroom, i think it worked really well with the story line. Parker and Liam's sexploits were well written and steamy hot, they had such a great chemistry as a couple.
I found myself really drawn to Liam's character right from the start as we know so little about him, so as Parker and Liam moved forward in there relationship and small things about Liam's past are revealed i just ate it up, and my heart hurt for what he had endured as a child.
Then BAM Melissa throws one hell of a twist in there and im literally aching inside for these characters, i wanted to hug them.
I loved this book and the way it made me feel, Melissa never disappoints.

I just loved Liam...bless his little cotton socks, my heart just about broke for him.
Parker however took some getting used to. I didn't care much for his smugness and continual smirking although he did grow on me.
I couldn't get my head around why he continued to work for his father for so long when they clearly despised each other.
Together however they were sweetness personified and I loved how Parker didn't give up even when Liam was determined to push him away.
I enjoyed the differences between them.
The sexual tension was palpable. So smoking hot and gripping that I thought I was going to spontaneously combust and I couldn't wait for them to actually get it on!
This is a sweet, sweet story about two broken men finding each other and learning to love and live.
Yes, you have to suspend your reality/believability a bit in the later stages of the book but overall it's a lovely read.

Melissa writes a great story, and this one is no exception. I Loved this story, it had so much heartfelt feelings, which really choked me up at times. Liam runs away from when he's seventeen, scrounging through garbage containers for food, and looking for scrap metal that he can sell. One day he gets caught by Paulie a guy who owns a garage with a heart as big as an ocean. Feeling sorry for Liam he gives him a job in his garage, and the two become solid friends. Working late one night in storms a well dressed man by the name of Parker, ranting that he needs his car towed in as he hit a pothole causing damage to his tyres and underneath the car. Here begins the beautiful story of how Liam and Parker which you really must read.
