1 dual sided hammer with one metal and one plastic head (good for tapping pins into place. Tough to use/hold due to the small diameter smooth round handle.)
6 precision screwdrivers (well, three of these are screw drivers, and 3 are pin removal tools.)
1 box of 360 piece spring bars (rad)
1 Tweezer (pointy and useful)
3 loupe (a decent, low quality loupe)
1 Watch block (I've never really know what these were for)
1 Watch band link remover (this cheap plastic tool works really well! Just be careful not to force it. It'll bend our removal pins, which can be replaced.)
2 Watch back openers (2? I just see the one blue handled one. Pretty cool though.)
1 Adjustable watch case opener. (Good for some pulsar, seiko, rolex, etc. Please do not open your seiko or rolex watches with it. :) )
Band pin extractor: Nicely forked extractor for pulling the pins back while you remove the band. Pin shoot across the room? No problem...you have billions more.
The case and padding that come with this care are as the quality you'd expect from a just-about-1-dollar-per-piece tool kit. I ditched the foam and case pretty quick, and moved these into another box I keep watch tools in.
While these are useful tools, and excellent for beginners, expect some of these tools to be consumable products. They'll be used a few times, and need to be replaced if things get rough. The case opener tool (adjustable screw-on type) is a bit too flexible for my liking, and I wouldn't use it on a watch I didn't minds scratching.
Since I received this kit,I have replaced batteries in two watches, and replaced a bent spring pin on a third. I don't have any watches that are expensive enough to require the use of the pin spanner wrench, but about the time I say "I'll never need it", I will need it for something! The sring pin tool and set of spring pins alone make this worth the money you spend. I just love the little hammer. Finally I can seat the back of a watch without worrying about damaging the cover or cracking the crystal (both of which I have done in the past) I have never aspired to go into watch or jewelry repair, but always seem to be the one who is elected to perform the task when needed. The nice thing is that with every thing being in a case, I can easy store this set, and forget about it until the next situation arises that calls for it's use. It seems like a great starter kit for someone who wants to learn enough to take it to the next level, and maybe make this their profession.
If you do want to learn more about how to use these tools and how to repair watches and clocks, there is plenty of free information available on the internet, as well as a lot of books available right here on Amazon.
I given a sample of this product in return for my unbiased evaluation and review.
Cracked open two watches in a couple of minutes and got a third to run easily.
It works for me.
